My wife was rushed in to this hospital from the airport. The ambulance staff were friendly efficient and just wonderful. Once at the hospital the service was just amazing nurses, doctors, radiographer all so fast friendly and efficient. Just so different from waiting for hours in the uk. I can't thank the staff enough, this is great hospital. To cap it all they even had phoned for a taxi for us when my wife was discharged. 5+ stars or more.

I was taken into this hospital in an ambulance from Koln airport . The friendliness , speed, efficiency and calming effect of the two paramedics , Kristian and another slightly younger man , was excellent . I've been in many ambulances in several countries in my long life , but this was the best experience by a long shot considering the extreme pain and disconfort I was in. ONCE INSIDE THE emergency room, the triage was carried out IMMEDIATELY, yet it was a SATURDAY NIGHT ! ALL the staff , with no exceptions were extremely kind and efficient . They were also very patient with my almost non existent German , though I was trying to learn quickly . They did a number of tests , again in an extremely and competent manner IN SPITE of all being so obviously extremely busy . I really dislike hospitals as I've been in them all through my childhood every week and also through my adult life . Some experiences were hideous . But these doctors , nurses ,the radiographer and also the fantastic paramedics who suddenly had to deal with another TWO emergencies at Koln airport at the same time , made my experience SO much easier . This was , in 61 years , most definitely the best team and hospital I have EVER been in or had the experience of visiting . The cleanliness also was incredible . But it's the COMPETENCE mixed with friendliness which really made a HUGE POSITIVE IMPRESSION on me . I'm back in Scotland now, yet I can't even through out the bandage from the expertly inserted needle or line which left NO BRUISING. A nurse called Olaf did that far better than anyone ever has before . What an amazing hospital .... I could go on for days praising all of them . Great experience ... with previously really extremely agonising pain. They all deserve medals .

Was first connected to the CTG by a midwife, the cervix was examined and lovingly cared for. She informed me that a doctor would do another ultrasound and then the other options for the next steps would be explained to me.
The doctor was also super friendly and I felt that I was being taken very seriously. Since my cervix was only 1cm dilated, he told me that normally you are only admitted at 3cm, but he knew that I was already in severe contractions and that it was only a guideline anyway. So I should only go for a walk for about 1 hour, but I can come back to the station at any time if it is no longer possible (statement: even if you are just too cold outside ????)
After half an hour I went back upstairs and was warmly welcomed again. Although from a different midwife, she was just as friendly and was taken straight to the delivery room.

Of course, I got back at the change of shift, so I was alone in the delivery room for a short time. Despite the handover, a midwife kept coming in to see me and ask how I was.

When the handover was over, "new" super nice midwives came to me in the delivery room and took great care of me!! Each!
The doctor who examined me and sewed me up after the delivery was also consistently friendly and as careful as possible.

I just felt incredibly well looked after and would definitely give birth to my next child there again ❤️

Ich bin zur Entbindung meines ersten Kindes extra bis nach Porz gefahren (64km entfernt), da ich von meiner Hebamme die Empfehlung bekommen habe, dass ich dort gut aufgehoben wäre.
Und was soll ich sagen? Meine Hebamme hatte definitiv recht! ❤️

Schon bei meiner Ankunft (ich hatte mich unterwegs bereits telefonisch angekündigt - sehr liebevolles Gespräch! ) wurde ich herzlich begrüßt und in Empfang genommen. Wurde erst von einer Hebamme an's CTG angeschlossen, der Muttermund untersucht und liebevoll betreut. Sie teilte mir mit, dass ein Arzt noch einen Ultraschall machen würde und mir dann die weiteren Optionen für die nächsten Schritte erklärt werden würden.
Der Arzt war ebenfalls super freundlich und ich habe mich sehr ernst genommen gefühlt. Da mein Muttermund erst 1cm geöffnet war, sagte er mir, dass man normalerweise erst bei 3cm aufgenommen wird aber er mitbekäme, dass ich bereits starke Wehen hab und es ja auch sowieso nur eine Richtlinie wäre. So sollte ich dann lediglich ca. 1 Stunde spazieren gehen, könne aber jederzeit wieder auf Station kommen, falls es nicht mehr ginge (Aussage: selbst wenn Ihnen einfach zu kalt draußen ist ????)
Nach einer halben Stunde ging ich bereits wieder hoch und wurde wieder herzlich empfangen. Zwar von einer anderen Hebamme aber dennoch genauso freundlich und wurde direkt in den Kreißsaal gebracht.

Natürlich kam ich gerade im Schichtwechsel wieder an, sodass ich eine kurze Zeit alleine im Kreißsaal lag. Trotz Übergabe, kam immer mal eine Hebamme rein um nach mir zu sehen und nach meinem befinden zu fragen.

Als die Übergabe beendet war, kamen dann "neue" super liebe Hebammen zu mir in den Kreißsaal und haben sich so toll um mich gekümmert!! Jede einzelne!
Die Ärztin, die mich nach der Entbindung untersucht und genäht hat, war ebenfalls durchgehend freundlich und so vorsichtig wie möglich.

Ich hab mich einfach unfassbar gut aufgehoben gefühlt und würde mein nächstes Kind definitiv wieder dort entbinden ❤️

Beste Krankenhaus im Thema Geburtshilfe. Habe mich so gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Jeder hat mir jede Zeit geholfen und stand mir bei. Besonders im Kreißsaal! Kann es nur empfehlen und würde bei mein nächsten Kind wieder kommen!
Man hat das Gefühl die machen das von Herzen und nicht nur weil es deren Job ist ♥️
