A very favourable relationship between price and quality level! The bathroom is modern. The bed is very comfortable. The breakfast buffet comprises a grand variety of dishes. The building as such is not modern and may not seem very attractive. However the service is very good. The personnel is friendly and helpful. The hotel is easy to reach by means of Cologne's city trains.

For budget accommodation, this is really a fine place. No, it's not fancy. But the bed was comfortable and the room was basic and clean. It met my needs and expectations and was better, in my one experience, than some other reviews suggested. Parking on site was quite limited, though. Finding area parking since their few spots were filled was a definite annoyance.

We booked a room for three people for a duration of 3 nights to attend an event nearby. Over all, the hotel is pretty good for it's price. We arrived an hour after the minimum check-in time and they were still cleaning our room, which was a letdown. We also purchased breakfast which required breakfast stamps but didn't recieve them or any info about them and as such we were confused when they asked us for our breakfast "stamps". The location didn't really matter to us, but we were close to a tram station/S-Bahn (3 minute walk) so we were happy enough about that. I wouldn't know to recommend this hotel because I have no other experiences in these hotels to compare this one with.

Please read this warning about this hotel!! Don't stay at this hotel. It needs major renovations and repairs. This hotel is a dump and the rooms are very low quality. You will be disappointed if you stay in this hotel. Giving this hotel a rating of 1 star or more is an exaggeration! Wasted my money on this low grade and low budget dump! I should have known better. And the receptionist is hardly never at the front desk!!

I'm am very disgusted and disappointed in the quality of the room. The room presents both health and safety concerns for me.  See the pictures I posted that shows my disgusting room.

When I checked into my room, here'swhat I immediately saw:

1) Shower covered in mold - significant mold was all over the shower doors and inside shower stall

2) Large visible mold stains were on drapes and on the corners of the wall

3) The sheer curtains had cigarette burn holes and were covered with food stains

4) The bed linen had body soill stains on pillow case and comforter - gross!!

5) Next to the balcony window there were blood stains that covered the wall near balcony door and window.

6) Throughout entire hotel there's viable mold and peeling paint on the walls, door ways, etc

7)The hotel has filthy conditions inside and outside of hotel room

8) Patio covered in filt and mold was around the corners of exterior door

9) The wire to the safe inside the room was cut so guests can not store any valuables in the safe.

10) Room did not have a smoke detector

11) viable patches in wall from prior damages

12) Carpet had odor, stains and was extremely dirty.

13) Wall mounted TV did not work

14) Hotel guest were hanging out in hallways making excessive loud noise next to my hotel room

15) Hotel key was in poor condition and someone physically wrote the room number on the key with a green marker

16) Dining area closed only opened for breakfast. What a joke and inconvenience this crea8for hotel guests

17) Hotel has a foul odor when you exit from elevator

18) Broken bathroom mirror

19) lights dont work properly in room and bulbs blown out that need to be changed

20) Hotel restuarant only serve breakfast, it's a full restaurant but it's never opened. The hotel guest must go out to eat.

Worst hotel experience ever!! I paid nearly $600 (U.S. dollars to stay in a total dump)
The hotel refused to give me a refund and did not compensate me for the inconvenience. Instead they offered me another room was also has a number of issues, including broken sink, no air conditioning, blown light bulb in bathroom, stains in curtains and they only give you 1 bath towel!! WTF!

Glad I bought my own towels from home. Do yourself a huge favor and pass on this hotel! Its not worth the headache and loss of money!

Rooms were very clean and ours was quite big. We had a fridge, TV and decent beds. The breakfast was done by two very kind women and was very good for the price!
