Lovely hotel! And incredibly helpful staff. It felt a little spooky at night time when we arrived. However, I appreciate its good to not have the lights on all night. The hotel book is a taxi first thing in the morning and made sure it arrived on time.

I can’t thank the staff enough for being so lovely.

We stayed in the hotel for one night and will never come again.
The room has no standard facilities.
No soap in the bathroom, no refriguater, no airconditioning. Because we had to sleep with the window open because od the heat, we woke up at 8 by the noise from the tennis courses just underneath our window. They lasted untill after we left so there was no chance to wake up relaxed. Also at the check in reception said the wifi was broken so we could sit in the restaurant for wifi. He said the restaurant would be open for a while. When we came back a half our later the restaurant was closed.. He gave us little glas of beer as a compansation.
If the room was less expensive we would never have complained and thought it was reasanable. So we felt unhappy with our stay.

When at the check out we wanted to ask where we paid 100 euros for, the same reception guy who looked like the manager did not even ask if our stay was okey.
He also did not react compassionate when we told him how we felt. He replied irritated that we paid the 100 euros for the bed and did not want to do anything to comfort us. I can buy this bed for the same amount. So I felt terrible already and was certantly not comforted.

Our stay was neccesary because of complications so we could not ride home to holland. So after an already misserable evening, this hotel (where you should be able to relax and be taken care of) made it even worse.
In the end I still have no clue where we paid 100 euros for. Certanately not the service, location or facilities.

Pretty expensive considering the small room size, the rude guests who were fighting in the hallway in the middle of the night (and scoffed at me when I kindly asked them to stop at 3:30AM), the very close proximity to an Autobahn which also contributed to my sleepless night and the slow WiFi speed in the room (5,5 mbps down, 0,5 mbps up). Staff was reasonably friendly, but I still would not stay here again.

Very nice place to stay. I would give it five stars, but the "small" TV only had a few channels, the breakfast (although good for a continental) was limited, and the language barrier was a small challenge.

I would still recommend this place because they were friendly and not frustrated by the language barrier.

Re. Restaurant ONLY: hidden gem for some local dishes (see pictures; e.g. once a week there are very tasty potato fritters called “Reibekuchen” or “Rievkooche” op Kölsch, mouth-watering sauté potatoes or “Bratkartoffeln”). Went here as I was craving some good German dishes and was positively surprised. Also friendly service - will return again.

Nice room, only a bit of traffic noise if you open the window. Good breakfast and evening meal too.
