I recently spent a week here and really enjoyed it. The staff were amazing. The rooms were modern and clean. The resteraunt was also really nice and the food was delicious. The servers had a wonderful sense of humor. I left thinking I will miss them. The Cologne cathedral was a very short walk and there was so much to see and do all around. I would for sure stay here again.

Average hotel with a great location. Overlooking the river with plenty of restaurants around. Just a few blocks from the cathedral. Easy check in. Simple, clean room. Only complaint is noise from the restaurant below first thing in the morning as they open.

The location of this hotel is good and it is located right next to the Rhine river and the famous train bridge of Cologne.

The issue is not outside the hotel but inside the hotel where bedding, curtains and dead pillows and duvets are of very cheap quality and will give you pain next morning once you sleep on it. The facilities and room service in the hotel is next to nothing and during late evening and night hours you cannot expect anything from the room service.

Paying 100 EUR per night for this cheap materials in the room and poor service really is disappointing and hurts your wallet.

We were very satisfied with the hotel. It is value for money, great location, not noisy, very clean rooms and kind staff! They even changed us room, wenn the courtines were not enough opaque for us! Only the bathrooms are a bit small, but we didn't mind.. we totally recommend the rooms with view to the river, we loved it!

The price and location were quite good, but the service and accommodations were far below par. The bed was rather uncomfortable and the bathroom smelled like raw sewage during our entire stay from the moment we entered the room. Had to leave the door closed and the fan on so it didn’t make the whole room smell.

Hotel Drei Kronen is the budget traveller's dream -- it's smack bang in the centre of everything. You can be at the cathedral, tourism office, major shopping district, central train station and bridge by foot within 5 minutes. Price is reasonable too and when you get a room with a view overlooking the Rhine in early September the view isn't high up, but it's equally fantastic as anywhere else. So breathtaking on a late summer day. I didn't make it to Bootshaus when I was here last September, but this hotel will definitely be on my mind when it's time to return! The Cosa Nostra restaurant downstairs is really neat and cool as well. Love the Godfather pictures hanging on the wall. To think it's been 50 years since it premiered. Times flies!

Lovely hotel, clean and staff friendly. Would definitely book to stay here again.
