The service is good. Our waiter, Miro, was a sweetheart. Good place to get in touch with German cuisine and local produce.

Wonderful courtyard full of plants, creating a great atmosphere. Service was very friendly, and food absolutely fantastic. For many dishes, there is a smaller portion available. Try the mint tarte as desert - it's our waiter's favourite cake and me and my wife could only close our eyes whenever we took a bite :-D We had a wonderful evening here!

One star comes from the interesting location and the friendly staff. A wrongly served dish was replaced quickly. This it itself can happen is not that bad.????
Though the missing stars do come from the quality in itself and the price value. In summary: Regular canteen food might have more taste.
????Quality: As a main dish we had pasta with truffles and Wirsingroulade with polenta. Both dishes not only had barely any salt, but we're lacking overall taste. There was no way one could taste any truffles, even though you could see some preserved ones sprinkled on top. And all other tastes were missing too. Same goes for the roulade.
The appetizer with Rösti, salmon and figs was good. And we didn't eat the heavy meat dishes, maybe this might have been the problem.
????Price value: Given the mentioned quality and the low quantity (as already mentioned by many reviewers), prices are way too high. The appetizer was 12€ and both main (vegetarian) dishes were 18€ each.
➡️ Summary: Really unfortunate, as this place seems to have the potential with its location, staff and construction of meals (on the menu each dish looks excitingly put together of each ingredient). In the process of making and pricing the food, it currently does not follow through.

Great location for carnival party on the Saturday; have come here every time for the past couple of year; great music, plenty of space, separate room with non-carnival music, fast coatroom, food in the tents outside, average prices for the beer, what more could you want.

Before the Show at Comedia's Green Hall started we had 1 ho to go n decided to stay at the building to have a quick dinner. There we go sitting at the front table by the bar of the Wagenhalle (used to be the Firework Hall) here near Chlodwigplatz.

Wagenhalle looks cozy. Not that busy yet, but already noticed how narrow are the tables to each other. I could imagine that it would be quite crowded n loud at the prime time.

The nice long hair gentleman who waited us was service oriented (friendly u0026 helpfull which is NOT a must in Germany). He told us that they cant serve 'Sauerbraten', Deer anymore and instead of Lachs they serve Percidae that very early evening (around 6 PM)... Too bad that I suddenly craved for a nice Sauerbraten! Anyway, we'd run out of time if I didnt pick one Main Course as our show starts at 7 PM.

Rabbitsleg was my choice! With Polenta ( made from boiled cornmeal) and Mix Veggies. Sadly I couldnt enjoy it that much as the Rabbit was dry and I should have asked the Waitress to serve me a regular mashed Potato instead. Moi went to the theater with half empty (somehow) tummy since there was no time left for Dessert and not so yummy Dish I longed for.

You see that I wasnt that satisfied with Wagenhalle, but I dare myself to give it another try for its cozy ambient and what my Charming Cavalier got on his fine plate. :D
