Went with a local that described it as the best ice cream in Köln... and I was not disappointed!
It is not the most beautiful place, far from it!
It does not have enough seating, and that is why many costumers seat in the surrounding areas...
But for what it really matters, the flavor, it is divine... and the staff is also very friendly!

I have been coming to this place for over 45 years. The original founder, Mr. Engels was the sweetest person you could ever meet. The ice cream is still pretty authentic, but the new generation of owners have no common sense, are rude (i was asked not to sit on their nearly empty out door seatings - if i hadnt purchased from the in-house menu, when a lady with two small children with the same kind of cone orders was left alone for unknown reasons), and will be the reason why I won’t be coming to this place anymore. Used to ne a nice routine on my bi-annual visits to Germany.

Bestes Eis in Köln! Hausgemacht im Familienbetrieb, ohne künstliche Zusatzstoffe oder irgendwelchen neumodischen Firlefanz - einfach super lecker, ganz besonders Schokolade und Vanille! Wie gut das Eis ist, sieht man im Sommer an der Schlange vor der Tür ???? Das Warten lohnt sich definitiv!
