Great site with a nice restaurant and beer garden.
A good variety of camping areas, partly shaded by trees but also with good sun.
It's much the same as it was when we were here over 25 years ago but the showers, wash rooms and toilets have had a very nice upgrade.

Very quiet overnight just the gentle rumbling of the boat engines as the go by on the river Rhine and the occasional aircraft leaving Bonn airport.

Overall, an excellent site for easy access to Koln (Cologne) by cycle, on foot or by bus.

We njoyed staying at this place. The price was good and the location in reference to the city was great.. The pastries and bread in the morning were great. There was no water connections so we had to walk a long way to get water. The showers and the water were free though so that was a positive.. The bathrooms were OK. They could have been a little cleaner. Overall it was a good stay.

Very large, well managed, with good facilities. The location is great for visiting Cologne- a very pleasant bike ride along the river. Interior pitches are small and jam packed, most without shade. Try to get one of the proper sized plots on the river.

Great camping with free showers and amazing food. We payed around 30 euros for 1 night with two people, a tent, and electricity. Would definitly recommend if around Cologne.

Tidy clean campingsite located directly at the shore of the rhine. campsites are large enough for (bigger) caravans or campers. Selection of your campsite is with "freie wahl" meaning everyone has a chance for a good spot. Due to the location at the shore of the river the campsite is elongated. Toilet building is almost at the far end of the campsite meaning a long walk back and forth to the building... Showers are excellent; clean, tidy, light, and unlimited showertime. Restaurant offers good quality food, prices however are a bit on the high side. A selection of breadbuns is available in the morning without ordering the day before. Personnel at the frontdesk is friendly and well spoken. Bus services, metro combination, park and ride is relatively close to the campsite.

Has such a miserable feeling to the campsite the people there need to cheer up ????, I think alot of people are living there permanently so people stare at you and aren't welcoming because youre a tourist. staff were unfriendly and didn't explain that we would be locked in the campsite by the main gate and we couldn't leave because it wasn't time?Only reason I gave 2 stars is because the facilities are good.

After a slightly “cool reception”, where we could not be informed if we could stay for more than one night, the place grew on us. The biergarten had live music and a great ambiente, and the staff was actually quite friendly the rest of the time.
The site is located straight at the Rhine banks, and there is a sand beach suitable for getting a little into the water. Maybe not for swimming because of the current.
There’s a bus directly outside the site, that connects to the train to the city centre. We took out car to the nearest parku0026ride however.
After the initial “aaah, ships!” had passed, there are actually quite a few ships passing by, engine sounds and horns tooting. Also the nearby airport launches almost overhead, so you are never in total quietness.
