Café Fridolin

We went there last Sunday (14. Aug) morning for brunch and it turned out to be a disaster. It is a nice place to sit but we waited 20 min until they took the order and about 30 min more for the drinks even tho it wasn’t near full. We ordered a bagel and a „Flammkuchen“. We waited for over an hour and still no food. We asked the girl and she casually said she’ll check (it wasn’t busy) and then she never returned. We asked another waitress who said, sorry we forgot about the food. Then it took another 40 min. We were so hungry. We never heard a sorry. Just rude. And then there wasn’t an option for card payment so they made us go to an atm nearby. We’re not coming back.

Im not exaggerating when I say they have awesome cakes (especially cheese cakes) coffee was great, staffs were friendly and really cosy alternative atmosphere with some unique paintings on the wall.
They’re always busy but not super crowdy. Saw that they serve nice breakfast/ foods as well. A little gem in Ehrenfeld!

Do u like vintage? Cosy atmosphere? Super tasty homemade cakes ?? Friendly waiters? A place with a soul? Breakfast till 2pm? Or cocktails for lunch ? Then u found your place !!! I been very positiv suprised about that cafe ! Will be soon back

Very beautiful Café. Food and Drinks are delicious and the Café is only about a three minute walk away from the train station Venloerstraße/Gürtel. The Atmosphere is very laid back and relaxing and everything has a very Nostalgic but lively vibe. One of my absolute favourite Cafés. Also really good music and friendly staff.
I highly recommend going to Café Fridolin, especially when you have a lot of time at hand because you won't want to leave. It exceeded my expectations by far.

Still my favorite café in Cologne. The cosy and welcoming atmosphere, from the comfortable sofas, to the decorative plates and friendly staff, is hard to beat. Plus, I love that they have many vegan and vegetarian choices! ????
