Very nice location, the food was fantastic! You actually get what your paying for ???? Service was a bit slow but it was full, so no big complaint… and the staff was very friendly…

A typical Kolsch Brewpub serving a number of typical dishes. The quality of the food is good and prices are ok for a restaurant in the suburban area. The place is very busy during the peak hours and at the weekend. Reservations are recommended. They have regular food specials for certain week days (e.g., Schweinshaxe is served on Fri/Sat only). Details can be found when scrolling down for a good while on their convoluted homepage (separate links to the menu, specials, and reservations etc would really be helpful...).
The service is efficient and friendly, but Kolsch sometimes flows slowly, since the number of waiters is kept at a minimum. The food tastes good (some sauces are store-bought), salads are fresh, and the wait time is ok even at busy hours.
Sadly, they frequently 'stretch' the meats to ridiculously small sizes whenever several people of a larger party order steaks or related meat dishes. For instance, the Brewmaster plate (shown in pic) is supposed to have 3 medallions of filets from pork, beef, and turkey. The cook decided to cut off a 1.5 cm wide end piece of a beef steak instead, which came from a rump steak ordered by another person in our party. On another occasion (rump steak day), our larger party got much thinner steaks than usual. Too noticeably and insultingly thinner, actually.
Finally, their room reserved for larger parties is way too warm in the winter months, and they don't seem to be able to lower the temperature of the blasting radiators, which are hidden behind wooden panels.

3 of us came on Friday night 4th September to have a meal, we waited 10 mins to be seated, 10 mins for the menu then another 10 mins and we ended up leaving. There were no English menus, the German menus were only printed out on a piece of paper so it would be easy just to print an English one out. There was only one very stressed man rushing around serving everyone, there needed to be more staff on as the poor guy looked shattered! He was rushed off his feet and not giving anyone any good service. We went next door, had a lovely meal there and the service was great.

We came in on the evening of Friday 4th of September, after standing at the entrance for 10mins we finally got seated inside. They spoke little to no english (which is okay) and they also did not have an english menu and wouldn't help us. There was only one man who was serving inside and outside, and the place was full. You could see how stressed he was. Many other tables were calling out to him to get looked after. We waited for half an hour and still hadn't been served, so we walked out. Very disappointed. You need to have more staff on.

Very good food very German menu with great beers. Casual place with good prices .
