Super friendly staff, especially since this place is buzzing and usually extremely popular and busy. We wanted to sit outside - they put us on the waitlist and offered us drinks. We only had to wait 10-15 minutes. Food: delicious and creative French tapas. They recommend three per person to start with. We had 5 each and were very happy with our choices :)

Today is my first day in Cologne and I chose the restaurant to have dinner. However, I didn't know that they don't accept credit card nor have changes for my EUR 500 note. To my surprise, they were not seem to be upset or angry. They told me: Welcome to Germany. You are invited tonight!
I can't be more amazed. The foods were very good and the service was extraordinary. Definitely will come back. I couldn't ask for a better first day in the city.

Top place, one of my favorites in the Sudstadt. Excellent atmosphere, very cozy place. Love to sit outside in the winter, they have an excellent heating system and blankets as well. The wine is very nice and the snacks as well. Definitely recommend it!

The food was great, french small plates, and it was all delicious. It's very busy but whilst we were waiting for a table we had a few Kölsch.
The service was excellent and we really enjoyed our evening.

Bagetelle is great. Whenever someones visits we try to get a table here because you have to share the experience. Food is small and "easy" (to eat), but delicious and amazing. The feeling is very much Cologne-Südstadt. You will not regret your visit I promise u003c3

The food is very tasty and well-priced. Awesome French tapas.
The service however... pretty bad. The restaurant was half empty and yet we waited for a long time to be approached by the staff. When a waitress finally dropped menus on our table, she immediately run away. We were not explained how to order until 10 minutes later. We didn't receive everything that we ordered and had to cancel our last dish (we were 2 and ordered 9 dishes).

Don’t recommend going if you have an intolerance or allergy. Allergy card is wrong, and despite notifying staff of severe allergy, they brought food that contained gluten. This can actually be very dangerous. Staff was well intended, but overall not a good experience. Also, didn’t help that we saw a mouse in the restaurant. Won’t go again
