Came here with my class of 20. They are all migrant kids who speak German as a second language, and many of them have behavioural difficulties - they are not always the easiest group to handle. Our tour guide, Stefan, did an excellent job. He kept them constantly engaged, and they learned a lot. The activities we did together were entertaining and we all really enjoyed our day. The tour was extremely well organized and perfect for their age group (10-13). Thank you for the lovely afternoon!

It fascinated me very much and I will definitely come back (when I have more time). There are also lots of fun activities for children. I've read some negative reviews that the staff is said to be very rude, but I can't agree with that. In order to gain access to the museum, you currently have to show either a health certificate or proof of vaccination. The entrance fee of 4 euros is perfectly fine. In short: the spontaneous trip to the museum was definitely worth it. :)

Sehr schönes, lehrreiches und überschaubares Naturkundemuseum. Trotz dass die Ausstellung „nur“ auf einer Etage ausgestellt wird, wird eine breit gefächerte Vielfalt ansehnlich dargestellt. Es hat mich sehr fasziniert und ich werde definitiv noch mal (wenn ich mehr Zeit habe) vorbeikommen. Für Kinder werden auch viele schöne Aktivitäten angeboten. Ich habe einige negative Bewertungen gelesen, dass das Personal sehr unfreundlich sein soll, dem kann ich aber nicht zustimmen. Um Zutritt zum Museum zu erlangen, muss man aktuell entweder einen Genesenenschein oder einen Impfnachweis vorzeigen. Der Eintrittspreis von 4 Euro ist völlig in Ordnung. Kurz gesagt: der spontane Ausflug ins Museum hat sich definitiv gelohnt. :)

An all-round exciting and interesting exhibition that is suitable for all age groups. The museum is in the Tietz (1st floor) and you can reach it very well by public transport or you can find quite good parking spaces all around. The staff is great, very polite and caring. Shortly before "volcanic eruption" an employee went through the rooms and "drummed" everyone together.

Klein, aber fein heißt hier das Motto. In dieser Ausstellung, bzw. Museum lernt man etwas über die Urgeschichte der Chemnitzer Region vor 280 Millionen Jahren. Es gibt viele versteinerte Pflanzen, Tiere, sogar ganze Bäume bestaunen, lernt dass es in Chemnitz einen erloschen Vulkan gibt und wer alles entdeckt, katalogisiert und ausgestellt hat. Auch echte Tiere (Insekten) kann man sich anschauen. Aller 90 Minuten bricht per Vidoleinwand ein Vulkan aus und es wird erklärt, wie der Urwald mit den versteinerten Pflanzen und Tieren entstanden ist. Eine rundum spannende und interessante Ausstellung, die für alle Altersklassen geeignet ist. Das Museum ist im Tietz (1. Etage) und man kann sie sehr gut mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln erreichen oder auch rundherum recht gut Parkplätze finden. Ganz toll ist das Personal, welches sehr höflich und fürsorglich ist. Kurz vor "Vulkanausbruch" ging ein Angestellter durch die Räume und "trommelte" alle zusammen.
