The hotel is nicely renovated, rooms are spacious and very clean. However, the shampoo run aut and the dispencer was empty. Family rooms are like suites.
The hotel accepts pets. Breakfast is ok but nothing special for 4 stars. No sweet bread like croissants, limited selection of fruit and vegetables. Some dishes like salmon are not refilled if you come before 9. The location is perfect for city trip. Quiet rooms face the parking, not the main street. Food in room service is overpriced. Overall I recommend the hotel but it is overpriced for the value and guests need to pay for outside parking.

The almost communistic building is internal nicely renovated.
The parking is on the backside and equipped with 2 Tesla destination chargers.
The staff is friendly, professional and helpful. During the breakfast they serve you , even when there is a buffet, which is by the way very good and complete,
The single room was not big, but there is enough space to feel comfortable. You can work well there for some hours (good free WiFi). The bath was clean and good standardly equipped. The view from the 5th floor on the square with the opera building is great!
The bar is standard with a good choice of drinks and some food.
Within 10 you walk to the centre and most POI's like e.g. Karl Marx statue.
Really recommended when you visit Chemnitz.

As hard as this place tries to be modern the moment you walk into the room you realize this is Russia. The only other places that had room layout like this was deep in the Ural region. The whole town had the look of a former Soviet state with box concrete building. Downtown area is a out 15 min walk and has a few restaurants. Service and food is nothing to brag about and the clash of new and old make it even more weird. Anyway I hope I don't have to be back to Chemitz again.
