The hotel is located a short distance from the center, the area is quiet and peaceful. The room was very spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. The staff was very helpful; if we return to Bremen, we will definitely stay here again. Recommended.

Large, nicely finished and comfortable rooms in an old building reasonably located for town centre and bars by the river. Staff / owners could not be more helpful and friendly. Free wifi. Close to a supermarket and coffee shops, bakeries etc for provisions. Very pleasant place to stay.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. We stayed in the 3 person room which was actually more like a suite with one single room and one double. Room and beds comfortable. A lovely stay

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Schon bei der Buchung hat uns die Freundlichkeit des Personals beeindruckt. Genauso herzlich wurden wir auch willkommen geheißen.

Das Zimmer ist sehr schön. Sehr groß, hell und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Bad ist ebenfalls groß und sehr schön. Alles sehr sauber. Auch der Frühstücksraum hat uns sehr gefallen. Das Frühstück ebenfalls.

Die Nähe zur Schlachte in Bremen ist perfekt für einen schönen Abend an der Weser.

Wir kommen gerne wieder.

However, after I called, the situation was explained to me.

The hotel is located in an old building in Bremen. There is no elevator. The hotel's website advertises extra large rooms, which is true. We were unlucky enough to get a room that was large, but in which there was a clear renovation backlog (signs of wear and tear on the furniture, bathroom walls, etc.). Apparently the hotel also has newer rooms on offer, as indicated on the website can see (recognizable by the lighter color of the laminate flooring). However, we did experience problems with very dry air at night, suggesting that the room had not been rented out for a long time. After opening the soundproof windows, this got better, but then you could hear loud noises from the street and tram. There is no ventilation system. The linens, while clean, didn't smell particularly fresh. What really annoyed us the next morning was finding a used handkerchief between the mattresses of our double bed. Especially in the current situation (2020) where hygiene is so important, something like this simply must not happen. We even asked ourselves whether the bed linen had even been changed for us because the maid should have found this cloth when making the bed...

I reported the defects found to the operator of the hotel by telephone. He wanted to take care of it and apologized for the shortcomings.

Reception was not open when we left, so I was emailed the bill. The full amount was required here. I asked for a small discount on the price due to the shortcomings, as a token of accommodation. This request was denied on the grounds that mistakes happen and the functionality of the room would not have been restricted in any way.

This is not what customer orientation looks like! Especially in the current situation, as a (small) hotelier, you should be careful how you treat your guests. Unfortunately you won't see us again...

Ich und meine Frau waren für eine Nacht Ende Mai 2020 in diesem Hotel.

Die Mitarbeiter sind bemüht und trotz aktuell (Covid-19) nur teilweise besetzter Rezeption telefonisch für Rückfragen erreichbar. Frühstück kann aktuell (Stand Mai 2020) nicht angeboten werden. Diese Info bekamen wir leider nicht, da es einen Tippfehler bei meiner E-Mail Adresse gab. Nach telefonischer Rückfrage wurde mir die Situation jedoch erläutert.

Das Hotel befindet sich in einem Bremer Altbau. Einen Fahrstuhl gibt es nicht. Auf der Website des Hotels wird mit besonders großen Zimmern geworben was auch stimmt. Wir hatten nur das Pech ein Zimmer zu erhalten welches zwar groß war, in dem jedoch ein deutlicher Renovierungsstau festzustellen war (Abnutzungsspuren an den Möbeln, Wänden im Bad usw.) Offenbar hat das Hotel auch schon neuere Zimmer im Angebot, wie man auf der Website sehen kann (erkennbar an der helleren Farbe des Laminats des Fußbodens). Wir hatten jedenfalls Probleme mit sehr trockener Luft in der Nacht, was darauf hindeutet, dass das Zimmer lange zuvor nicht mehr vermietet wurde. Nach Öffnen der Schallschutzfenster wurde dies besser, jedoch hörte man dann laut Geräusche von Straße u0026 Straßenbahn. Eine Lüftungsanlage gibt es nicht. Die Bettwäsche war zwar sauber roch aber nicht besonders frisch. Was uns am nächsten Morgen wirklich geärgert hat, war der Fund eines benutzen Taschentusches zwischen den Matrazen unseres Doppelbettes. Besonders in der aktuellen Situation (2020) wo Hygiene so wichtig ist darf so etwas einfach nicht passieren. Wir haben uns sogar gefragt ob die Bettwäsche überhaupt für uns gewechselt wurde denn beim Bettenmachen hätte das Zimmermädchen dieses Tuch ja finden müssen...

Ich habe die gefundenen Mängel dem Betreiber des Hotels telefonisch mitgeteilt. Er wolle sich darum kümmern und entschuldigte sich für die Mängel.

Als wir gingen war die Rezeption noch nicht wieder besetzt, sodass ich die Rechnung per E-Mail zugesandt bekam. Hier wurde der volle Betrag gefordert. Ich bat aufgrund der Mängel um einen kleinen Rabatt auf den Preis, als Zeichen des Entgegenkommens. Diese Bitte wurde mit der Begründung abgelehnt, dass Fehler nunmal passieren und die Funktionalität des Zimmers in keinster Weise eingeschränkt gewesen wäre.

So sieht Kundenorientierung nicht aus! Vor allem in der aktuellen Situation sollte man als (kleiner) Hotelier aufpassen wie man mit seinen Gästen umgeht. Uns sehen Sie leider nicht wieder...
