Amenities straight out of a youth hostel in 1986. Shared showers, no warm water out of the sinks. No pillows, sheets or blankets unless you pay extra? I have stayed in many hostels around the world (Germany and Europe included) and this was not good value. At least it wasn't too expensive. It was pretty clean and the staff was friendly at least.

I booked a bed in a 6-bed dorm room for 1 night, and I was very pleased with my experience in this hostel. The staff was genuinely friendly in an informal way and helpful when needed. The room, showers and toilets were clean and there were plenty (although there were not many guests either). I did not use the kitchen/common areas so I can't judge these properly. The only disadvantage to the hostel is the neighborhood around it... Even though it's not 'dangerous' it's still considered a 'bad' part of town.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this to low-budget fun-seeking travellers! Auf Wiedersehen!

First time in Bremen, I chose to stay in GastHaus. It is closed to the central station, and it is easy to get there by walking. The staff is really nice and helpful. I love the clean shower, toilet, and the room is also great. It's really comfortable for us, feels like our home. I will absolutely choose to stay in GastHaus again.

This hostel is very basic in nature. You just get the room that is so plainly made up. Wouldn't book it again unless desperate. Staff don't speak English u0026 got lost while trying to find the place. A kitchen with fridge u0026 kettle is offered.
They also ask to keep your ID while you're staying u0026 if you refuse then they ask for your credit card which I though was strange.

This is my 3time in this place. Will always recommend it for who cares. The kitchen is standard, the living room is with small library and is really a place to relax. The building has noise isolator too. I think I gained more than what I paid for.

The rooms and showers are clean. Good equipped kitchen and big common room. Negativ and the reason of loosing two stars: The rooms are VERY simple. White walls, some old posters, but guests dont feel comfortable! Showers have to less hooks to hang up clothes ect.! And the worst thing; despite a price of 20$ or more, guests have to pay 3$ extra for bedlinen! For me, a absolut NOGO!

The hostel charges for towels (50 cents per towel) and bed linens (3 euros per person), so basic things are not included in the price. We payed 19 euros for just a bed (with no pillow or blanket) and a dirty bathrooms. The hostel got public showers, that are just a lot of showers hanging on the wall, like a prison - so you take a bath with a lot of naked people in the same room, which is not so cool if you're not into this kind of thing - and just two dirty and smelly private showers.
If you have 5 euros extra, go to another place.
