My partner and I "reserved" a room for 2 people at the beginning of August for the end of August, all by email. I was informed in writing that the reservation is confirmed and will be paid for on site. So far so good, when we arrived that day there was no reservation.
For the reason that everything was clarified in writing, I was able to prove the correspondence. I was only told that all the rooms were now occupied and it was probably a mistake. I should have reported 2 days in advance. But that was never mentioned. It didn't really matter to the owner where we stayed for the night. For him, the matter was settled with the sentences that he was on vacation and that it was probably a mistake on the part of his employee.
I personally don't think that's possible at all. We counted on staying the night there. It was definitely not our fault. So we could see where we stay. In my opinion that's the worst thing that can happen. Definitely won't ask again and won't recommend it.

Ich hätte mich doch 2 Tage vorher melden müssen. Davon war aber nie die Rede. Es war den Inhaber dann auch ziemlich egal wo wir die Nacht bleiben. Für ihn war die Sache erledigt mit den Sätzen er war im Urlaub und, dass es wohl ein Fehler seines Mitarbeiters war.
Ich persönlich finde sowas geht überhaupt nicht. Wir haben uns drauf verlassen dort zu nächtigen. Der Fehler war definitiv nicht unserer Seits. Wir konnten also zusehen wo wir bleiben. Meiner Meinung nach, dass schlimmste was passieren kann. Werde da aufjedenfall nicht nochmal anfragen und es auch nicht weiterempfehlen.
