Slightly expensive food, which was good but not spectacular. Cannot really complain about anything. You cannot order small beers to the terrace, which was quite weird.

We arrived with no reservation and were accommodated with a smile. The breakfast menu was small but diverse so certainly something for all tastes. We had a great time, enjoyed our breakfast, very friendly staff and English was no problems at all.. Highly recommended from me..

A great place. So clean and comfortable. Greaaat service and super kind people. The food is also TipTop ???????? and the coffee is great. I go there 1-2 times a month and had never a problem with anything. I am a big fan of this great restaurant :)

A great place to get brunch with a good atmosphere, although it's become a little more expensive as of late. The geniesser Frühstuck used to be "brunch" style and you could request more food free of charge but that has been limited to only 1 serving now, which seems like too little food for the price. I would love to come back when this rule is reversed

Good restaurant in Bonn.
It mostly specializes in Italian food. They serve generous portions at a normal price. Staff is fluent in English and they offer English menus. Decorated with good taste, nice and comfortable

Standards seems to be dropping. Have been here four times over the last 5 years and my recent experience wasn't good. Service a little sloppy and unfriendly. However, it's a comfortable clean place with good food, can cater for family groups (most of the time) and is well positioned. Good outdoor area.

TL;DR Bonn has loads of nice cafes and restaurants. Any one of them would have to try really hard to make a worse job of remedying a mistake.

Sometimes, you just get unlucky. No matter how good the restaurant... things go wrong, and this was one of those lunches. Since it doesn't happen all that often, one should feel privileged to learn how an establishment copes and treats its patrons on these occasions. These are the when you learn their true attitude to serving guests.

My two dining companions and I had ordered, respectively, the pumpkin soup, the penne and the bouillabaisse. Customers are asked to use the numbers on the menu to simplify the order (fair enough); and the waitress entered the numbers and confirmed the names of the dishes to us.

Very soon my lunch - although I didn't know it yet - arrived in the shape of the sliced bread for the table. Very nice it was too, as we nibbled on it.

After a long wait (one of my fellow diners was on a lunch hour, so was sensitive to the time), soup, penne and lasagne arrived. Lasagne? That's not how this review started... so, disappointedly, I sent the lasagne back repeating - and having it acknowledged - what we'd ordered (the lasagne looked good, mind you, but I was in a fishy soupy kind of mood). And back went the lasagne for replacement. Sometimes mistakes are made, and you just get unlucky.

Interlude... the pumpkin soup and the penne (and the sliced bread) were very nice. So I can't fault the food that had arrived.

My fellow diners finished their meal, digested it somewhat and _still_ my bouillabaisse hadn't appeared. There are plenty of waiters there to notice that I didn't have anything in front of me. None of them asked what was missing (actually none asked how the others' meal was, either).

So I gave up. We asked for the bill. Waitress said "sorry you didn't get your dish". And it's not on the bill.

I'm sat here, unfed (saved sliced bread and oil), and the most generous thing they have done is not charge me for the food I was expecting, but didn't get.

*That* is not service.

Really, I don't know where to begin... it's annoying that they get the order wrong, but __it happens. However completely ignoring the fact that they didn't feed someone who came to their establishment which, frankly, has the sole purpose of feeding incomers, is incredible. Anyone can make nice pumpkin soup. Not anyone (evidently) can make you feel like a welcome guest.

Actually, I do know where to begin. I'm going to write a review of one of our favourite places in the UK. We go there so often that occasionally (very infrequently) they get something wrong. So Roses... this is what they do... they apologise. The chef will come out of the kitchen and do so in person. He will then proceed to offer some small gesture to set things straight (any gesture will do, TBH... but it usually involves cake). In any case the failing is recognised, and reckoned for.
