Simple, but great hotel. It charges fair prices, the rooms are tidy, but can not be considered as "modern" or new. Very friendly and competent service!
The breakfast is beeing served, with a small buffet. Free wifi (good quality). It's very good connected to bus and train, and also offers a few parking spaces.

Excellent location near the S-bahn and tram station. 25 min from Center of Cologne. 4 tram stations from center of Bonn. Hotel is rather old and could use a bit of renovation. Breakfast is served per table. Perhaps a self service breakfast would be a better idea.

Schönes Hotel mit altem Charme. Personal und Service sehr freundlich und das Frühstück wird persönlich an den Tisch gebracht. Außergewöhnlich und der Gast ist noch König. In meinem Zimmer ist die Zeit stehen geblieben. Radio noch im Nachtkästchen, für 4,-DM konnte man sich eine Zahnbürste an der Rezeption kaufen. Herrlich. Alles gepflegt, aber in die Jahre gekommen und die Bahnstrecke war schon zu hören. Für mich gerne wieder, wobei auch eine Sanierung im bestehenden Stiel auch Klasse wäre.

Since I didn't have much to do after a conference, I pushed the shower cubicle back together and fixed the slatted frame. But that should have happened before the prrsonal "moved in".

The ancient radio and alarm clock didn't work at all and there were hardly any sockets.

The railway line could also be heard quite loudly, so that it was impossible to fall asleep with the window open.

The television was measly, had hardly any channels and these often only showed sound but no picture. Here you often had to switch back and forth until finally a sound came up so that you could at least hear the news.

Then they forgot to mention when making the reservation that a bed tax was due.

All in all the room was old-fashioned and not justified for the price. A room of this “quality” might have called for € 79 in London, but not in Bonn.

So unfortunately only 2 stars.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, das Zimmer ist sauber und es gibt noch Raucherzimmer.

Aber es war einiges im Argen: Die Duschkabine ging am Rahmen auseinander, der Lattenrost des Bettes verlor Latten, es war einer der beiden Kleiderhaken an der Wand abgerissen. Auch Warmwasser war eher Glückssache. Die Dusche wechselte konstant zwischen warm und kalt.

Da ich nach einer Tagung nicht viel zu tu hatte, habe ich die Duschkabine wieder zusammengedrückt und den Lattenrost gefixt. Das hätte aber vor „Einzug“ durch das Prrsonal geschehen müssen.

Das uralte Radio samt Wecker ging gar nicht und es gab kaum Steckdosen.

Auch die Bahnstrecke war recht laut zu hören, so dass ein Einschlafen bei geöffnetem Fenster unmöglich war.

Der Fernseher war mickrig, hatte kaum Kanäle und diese zeigten oft nur Ton aber kein Bild. Hier musste man oft hin- und herschalten, bis endlich mal ein Ton kam, um zumindest mal Nachrichten hören zu können.

Dann wurde bei der Reservierung vergessen zu erwähnen, dass noch eine Bettensteuer fällig wird.

Alles in allem war das Zimmer altbacken und für den Preis nicht gerechtfertigt. Ein Zimmer dieser „Qualität“ hätte in London vielleicht die 79€ aufrufen können, nicht aber in Bonn.

Daher leider nur 2 Sterne.
