- Unfriendly and impolite staff, the way they handle their customer is very bad.
- One doorkey for each room instead of each guest. If you don't know each other and the other guest have the key and the room is locked then, you can't enter your own room!! During check-in they said to me that they only have 2 keys for every room, one key is for cleaning service and the other one is for the guests. At the end, 2nd key did'nt exist because I asked to reception as my room was locked and I wanted to go in, the other person at reception said there is no 2nd keys for each bedroom only one key. The worst impression/lie that they left to the customer!
- The main entrance door to the bedroom was damaged so I had to play a bit until it opened. it tooks me at least 2 minutes to open that door.
- 1 toilet/bathroom for 4 rooms, each room has at least 3-4 beds. So I had a hard time to use bathroom because it was mostly occupied from other guests.
- The kitchen there was not clean. Oven was very dirty that you would think couple times before you want to use it and no electric stove in kitchen!! Don't let the photos on their website fool you guys!!
- The staff wouldn't hear your complaints about cleanliness in the room and bathroom and no cleaning service came for a week to clean up my room. So forget about service that
- Mouses everywhere outside the building!!! (could also be inside). As I sat at beergarden behind the hostel, I saw lot of mouses running around during breakfast and dinner time. Sometimes they went up on the table next to mine which was really disgusting experience. They said it is the city problem and not theirs!!

+ near the station tannenbusch mitte and penny supermarkt.

For those who wrotes good reviews about this hostel and said that they did'nt understand why there are so many bad reviews, you should try to compare it with hostel chain like au0026o and you will clearly see huge differences in terms of facility, cleanliness and service.

My recommendation would be don't stay there and spend a bit more money for better hostel. The bad reviews here are correct because I experinced it during the stay in this bad hostel!!
Last but not least one star rating is too much for this hostel. Sadly, I can't give 0 star for the review.

I've been to lots of hostels and hotels in words , this one was one of the most pleasant stays I've had. The room was soo cosy and the bed and walls and floors were so clean. Nice bar downstairs also clean and cosy. The English speaking lady Nikol ,( who I thought was the owner) was very friendly and was pleased to answer any questions. Although I planed to stay towards the center next time .. I'm sure I will prefer to come here instead.

Well, since it's a hostel it was okay for me. It's not a hotel. I had a clean room and bed. TV was there and it was working. However since there were multiple rooms with shared kitchen and bathroom it was loud. Bathroom looked worn down. In the morning it was always in use and therefore I had to use the kitchen sink.
All in all, it was o...kay.

We stayed in for one night on 23rd November - no heating in the room, we’ve spend the night in coats and hats barely sleeping as some drunk/drugged people were yelling, banging on the doors the whole night. In the morning we couldn’t even use the bathroom as some girls were puking there and guys were cheering on them from the hallway. One night costed us 52,50€, so it’s not like it was cheap.
Worst experience ever.

Worst place I have ever booked and luckily ended up not staying at.

Came to Bonn for my university entrance test the next morning at 7:30 am. I arrived around 9:00 pm and waited for about an hour and half for my room; staff finally told me that I would be relocated to another hotel in a different city. Reason: "some" people (I booked a single room) still occupied it without letting know the management. Mysteriously, the cleaning lady (is there one?) did not notice either that my room was not empty when she cleaned it earlier that day (sounds like lame lie to cover up for classic room overbooking). They showed no initiative whatsoever in providing an adequate replacement. While confronting staff with my test situation and that closeness in the morning would be key to my success, I got a very aggressive response, reminding me of some sketchy formulated, probably made-up, german rights: either, I would go with them to their remote place, or cancel (for free, how nice is that right?) the booking at 11 pm.

I just wanted to get out of there, this miserable situation, and canceled. There was no way that I would wake up an hour earlier just to sleep at a hotel that I did not book, in a city I did not want be in, to take a train to the place I payed for.

Initially, the front desk guy tried to persuade me that I would not be able to find another hotel (luckily, my boyfriend at home found one in no time and booked it for me). They clearly tried to take advantage of me, being a non-native foreigner in a foreign country, and thought I would not dare to reject their absurd offer. That's when things got heated up and I got threatened to not leave a bad review. Otherwise, they would charge my credit card for this booking. In this matter, I will take my chances again.

This hostel is OK, I was staying here with 3 friends for the gamescom 2013 trade fair and we had to pay 150 euros each person for 6 nights, which is really overpriced but a decent price because all the hotels in the area of Cologne raised their prices before gamescom took place.
The bedrooms were fine, one double bed room was on the 2nd floor of 1 side of the building and the other was in the basement in the other side of the building, which is a bit annoying because the crew of the hostel didn't let us pass through the biergarten in order to go to the other side of the building, so we had to go past the parking in the back of the building instead.
Each floor shared one bathroom.
Also, the crew barely understands English, just enough to check the bookings.
The only real advantage of the hostel is its location - it is just up the stairs of the Tannenbusch Süd underground train station, which has 2 lines that take you to Bonn Hbf (Bonn Hauptbahnhof, means Bonn central station), the 3rd stop of both of them.
