Great authentic tapas restaurant that also serves paella. Extremely friendly staff and fun atmosphere. I'm hoping for more vegan options in the future since the menu is predominantly meat- and fish-based. The vegan options include bread, olives, veggie tapas platter (spinach, zucchini, bell peppers) and mushrooms in garlic oil.

Happened by this restaurant on a recent trip to Bonn while looking for a seafood meal and was impressed by everything that Der Spanier has to offer. Order at the inside countertop, grab a few beers from the fridge, and in short time you'll be surrounded by a feast of grilled and sautéed seafood, juicy Padrón peppers, and the complementary olives and bread. I couldn't have been more satisfied.

Awesome place. Nice food for a reasonable price.
The drinks are also not expensive. You can have a nice spanish wine for 7 euros.

Shared a meal with friends. The shop becomes a Spanish restaurant at night. The food was very good despite the look on our friends baby. It was busy with locals which tells it all. Recommended

Food is really good. Wine is help yourself and very cheap. Good value overall. Nice atmosphere. Overall a very fun experience
