I was excited to come here, but it's an ok place. Just ok. The food was not terrible, we all ordered the haloumi kartoffeln and it was good food although a bit expensive for what we got. I had the house dunkel which was actually decent and so I would say the food and beer is good. I took off points for the cleanliness and the actual restaurant. It smelled awful inside and the decor is dated and dingy. I know interior and decor doesn't affect the food and beer, but it was really off-putting. It didn't help that the restaurant was empty when we arrived over an hour past opening. I would only go here again for the beer. My photos don't show the inside, but is much worse than the outside.

Great place with a nice biergarten. Food and drink is good and well priced. Most importantly the staff are friendly, especially with my German not being particularly good.

Awesome place with huge sitting space inside.
From the outside you won't even know that this is a big place. It looks like a normal restaurant/bar.
Beer is good and has varieties. Food is also yummy.
They also surprised by giving some creative drawing sheets for children

The food was below average. The service was too slow. There were just 2 servers to serve over a hundred people. I had Kleiner salat, Chicken Breast with pasta and cream sauce and Vanilla ice cream with cream and rasberry sauce. The chicken was cooked really well but was a little bland. The salad was just a lot of lettuce and nothing else, the pasta had below average taste. The ice cream was fine. Overall a bad experience.

Machold's used to be one of the best places in Bonn for food and beer. Unfortunately the pandemic has changed it completely: Portion sizes massively reduced, no self-brewed beer, and very very slow service. All with the same high prices.

Tonight we ordered two Flonzpfanne that were half the size they used to be but the same price as before Corona they also took about 40 minutes to arrive. It's rare to leave a Brauhaus in Germany hungry, but unfortunately that's now the case with Machold's. Expect to pay a lot for very small portions: €20 per person and not even full.

Classic Bonn Bierhaus. Good service and food with a selection of rooms. Located in the vibrant old-town. Bookings possible. Nothing to moan about if you're looking for a lively 'pub' for drinks in Bonn. Sometimes too busy when the weather is good, but that's to be expected.

Celebrated the birthday of my friend here. Their garden is lovely, the personell was really attentive and best of all: there were so welcoming and sweet to my dog. Coming back for sure!
