Our family has repeatedly stayed at the Wiesmann Hotel and always had a very pleasant experience. We had a charming private suite with several bedrooms, 2 showers and a fully equipped kitchen at a very reasonable price. The landlady Erika is very accommodating. The hotel is spot clean and was most recently renovated. Street parking is easy and free.
We enjoyed the convenient location of the Wiesmann Hotel: One block away from the soccer stadion, surrounded by several great bakeries, 2 large supermarkets and a thrift store across the street. The Planetarium, Starlight Expess, the convention hall and downtown Bochum in walking distance, public transportation at the front door and easy access to major freeways, perfect for us! Looking forward to our next stay at the Hotel Wiesmann.

Nach Empfehlungen des Hotels habe ich es für ein Wochenende gebucht, um Freunde zu besuchen. Ich weiß nicht, ob wir einfach Pech hatten, aber begeistert war ich nicht. Das Hotel Mufft und sollte im Flur dringend mal gereinigt werden. Unser Zimmer braucht auch eine Renovierung, denn es sind Lücken in der Tapete, Fugen abgeblättert und Flecken an der wand. Schön ist anders. Auch das Licht ist sehr ungemütlich. Außerdem sind 75€ für eine Nacht ohne Frühstück (das normal im Preis inbegriffen ist) für das Gebotene zu viel. Immerhin kam uns die Gastgeberin zeitlich entgegen, das Bad war ganz nett und das Zimmer war sauber. Wohlgefühlt haben wir uns aber nicht.

I can only recommend it and we will definitely use this hotel again if we stay in Bochum again.

Als meine älteste Tochter für ein paar Tage nach Bochum ins Kinderkrankenhaus musste übernachtete ich mit zwei Kindern (4 und 2 Jahre) in diesem Hotel. Es war sehr sauber und ordentlich und auch das Frühstück war, obwohl recht wenig Gäste zu der Zeit da waren, reichhaltig und sehr gut. Ich habe überhaupt nichts zu bemängeln, möchte darüber hinaus aber noch die Freundlichkeit und das Entgegenkommen der Familie Wiesmann und des Personals betonen, die sehr verständnisvoll und flexibel auf unsere Situation reagierten und uns das Gefühl gegeben haben nicht nur "Bezahlende Gäste" zu sein, sondern uns weitestmöglich zu helfen. Falls jemand aus ähnlichen Gründen ein Hotel sucht kann ich noch hinzufügen, dass der Weg zum Krankenhaus zu Fuß mit beiden Kindern ca. 10 Minuten dauerte, also kein Hindernis darstellt. Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen und wir werden, falls wir nochmal in Bochum übernachteten werden auf jeden Fall wieder auf dieses Hotel zurückgreifen.

Ein sehr sehr gutes familiär und persönlich geführtes Hotel. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt, besonders auch in den schönen individuell gestalteten Zimmern.
Es ist ein sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis – „eigentlich mehr Leistung als Preis“.
Das ganze Hotel ist sehr sauber und ordentlich; das Frühstücksbuffet reichhaltig, lecker und ausgewogen.
Zudem liegt es sehr günstig in der Nähe vom Starlight Express Theater, nahe des Bochumer Zentrums und auch ausreichend Einkaufs- und Gastronomiemöglichkeiten sind direkt vor Ort vorhanden.
Frau Fortmann-Wiesmann hat uns in allen Belangen sehr unterstützt und war immer sehr flexibel und hilfsbereit.
Wenn der Hintergrund unseres Aufenthaltes dort, zwar ein Krankenhausaufenthalt aus unserer Familie war, so kommen wir dennoch sehr gerne wieder dorthin zurück.

Preis-Leistungsverhältnis absolut in Ordnung. Zudem gibt es einen Fahrradverleih, kostenloses Frühstücksbüffet, Optimale Lage, 10 Gehminuten zum Starlight-Express Musical, 5 min. zum Ruhrstadion (jetzt Vonovia Ruhrstadion). Straßenbahn in 200 m. Zu Fuß etwa 35 min. zur Innenstadt.
Wir waren schon häufiger hier seit 2004 und mögen auch den persönlichen und familiären Kontakt. Sehr hilfsbereites und zuvorkommendes Personal, auf besondere Wünsche (auch beim Frühstück!) wird gerne eingegangen und wenn es irgend geht auch realisiert. Kommen immer gerne wieder! Und auch lediglich 15 min. zu Fuß zum Klinikum der RUB Sankt-Josef-Hospital (ausgewiesene Pankreasspezisten!!!).
