I was in Bochum for two days back in November as my first experience in Germany. I didn’t speak a word of German but George helped me order. I asked for no tzatziki sauce because I typically don’t like the taste, so he said “I give you” and put a bunch on it... since it was closing time he gave me the rest of the fries at no extra charge. Thanks to George, I’ve now had the best gyro with the best tzatziki sauce I’ve ever had, and the fries were delicious. It’s a small food stand in the middle of nowhere but totally worth your while if you’re nearby.

The bread didn't taste particularly fresh and was dry and the tsaziki very sour. At first I didn't think there was any coleslaw, until I found a very small bit in the bottom, but it didn't taste like anything. The meat was personally too little spicy and too greasy for me, but was otherwise of good quality. Since the portion was very generous, I give a benevolent three stars and will go back to the Greek I trust in the future. ;-)

Wir sind heute unserem Stammgriechen fremdgegangen, da uns die vielen guten Bewertungen neugierig gemacht haben, sind aber eher enttäuscht worden. Bestellt haben wir zwei Gyros Pita. Das Brot schmeckte nicht besonders frisch und war trocken und das Tsaziki sehr sauer. Dachte erst es wär kein Krautsalat dabei, bis ich unten drin ein ganz klein bisschen gefunden hab, der aber nach nix schmeckte. Das Fleisch war mir persönlich zu wenig würzig und zu fettig, war aber ansonsten von guter Qualität. Da die Portion sehr großzügig war, gebe ich wohlwollende drei Sterne und werde in Zukunft wieder zum Griechen meines Vertrauens gehen. ;-)
