After we got our attention and a friendly young woman brought the menus and took the drink order, nothing...happened. So after half an hour I went into the restaurant. Two waiters were busy with the cash register and ignored me. After a while a man came out of the kitchen who was either the chef or acting like one. He asked what I wanted and I pointed out that we still hadn't received the drinks we ordered. He then pointed to the table with the 12 guests and said I would see that there was a "company" here. Then he asked if I had reserved a table. I said no, replied that we had taken one of the numerous free tables and we would just wait for the drinks and then want to order food. The head of the bar replied that next time I should kindly reserve a table, then he would also know how many staff he needed. In letzter Zeit liest man öfter von unhöflichen Gästen, die das Personal im Gastrobereich abwertend behandeln. Hier mal ein Beispiel, dass es auch andersrum geht:
Seit einigen Jahren besuchen wir immer mal wieder gerne das Filou. Das Personal war zumeist sehr nett und höflich, das Essen sehr lecker. Leider hat sich dies inzwischen geändert. Am Sonntag wollten wir (drei Personen) spontan das Filou aufsuchen. Der Biergarten war bei unserer Ankunft leer, im Innenbereich war ein Tisch mit ca. 12 Personen besetzt, an einem weiteren Tisch saß ein Paar. Wir setzten uns an einen Tisch in den Biergarten. Nachdem wir auf uns aufmerksam gemacht hatten und eine freundliche junge Frau die Speisekarten brachte und die Getränkebestellung aufnahm, passierte... nichts. Nach einer knappen halben Stunde ging ich also in das Lokal. Zwei Servicekräfte waren mit der Kasse beschäftigt und beachteten mich nicht. Nach einer Weile kam ein Mann aus der Küche, der entweder der Chef war oder sich wie einer aufführte. Er fragte, was ich wollte und ich machte darauf aufmerksam, dass wir die bestellten Getränke noch nicht bekommen hätten. Daraufhin zeigte er auf den Tisch mit den 12 Gästen und meinte, ich würde doch wohl sehen, dass hier gerade eine "Gesellschaft" wäre. Dann fragte er, ob ich einen Tisch reserviert hätte. Ich verneinte dies, antwortete, dass wir ja einen der zahlreichen freien Tische genommen hätten und wir lediglich auf die Getränke warten würden und dann Essen bestellen möchten. Hierauf antwortete der Thekenchef, ich solle das nächste mal gefälligst einen Tisch reservieren, dann wüsste er auch, wieviel Personal er bräuchte. Auf meine ungläubige Frage, ob spontane Gäste unerwünscht seien und diese nicht bedient werden würden, zeigte er zur Tür und sagte in einem rüden Ton, ich solle jetzt rausgehen, die Getränke würden schon noch kommen.
Ja, wir gingen dann. Und zwar für immer...

In den Bewertungen finden sich bereits mehrere Bewertungen über den "Thekenchef". Das scheint also alles andere als Einzelfall gewesen zu sein. Schade, wenn ein Mensch alles kaputt macht.

Zuerst habe ich gefragt, ob ich anderes Gemüse zur Entenbrust bekommen kann, weil ich Kohlrabi nicht vertrage, mit geringem Aufpreis wurde mir Brokkoli angeboten, bei einem Preis von 21 Euro, also dem teuersten Gericht der Karte, nicht ganz nachvollziehbar. Alternativ habe ich das Kalbsfrikassee gewählt, die Reistimbale erwies sich als Reis in Timbalenform gepresst, hätte auch eine Tasse oder schlicht der Löffel hinbekommen.
Dann habe ich ein Stück Fleisch aus reinen Galerten erwischt, nicht kaubar und unappettietlich. Das Nächste war so sehnendurchzogen, dass es nichtmal zu schneiden war, dann war ich satt, hatte mich verekelt. Zum Ausgleich hätte ich einen Schnaps wählen können. Bei der Heimfahrt im PKW indiskutabel. Einen Preisnachlass gab es nicht, etwas Essbares wurde mir aber auch nicht angeboten. Schwache Leistung, vorerst mein letzter Besuch dort.
