The best place to visit is the Chinese garden, we enjoyed and the kids enjoyed as well. You can take many pictures. Go there for relaxing.

This botanical garden is huge, absolutely free, and there were an incredible number of plants I've never seen before! It's tended by the nearby university, that's probably why it's so vast and various. Absolutely a great place to spend a few relaxing hours :)

It's a great place to take your friend and family. They have several exhibits covering Savannah, Australia, south east Asia etc. The green houses are climate controlled and every one of them are different. They are meticulously maintenaned by the botanists in the university. There is a nice cafeteria if you need a break; a lot to see. All the trees and plants are labeled for your convenience. I did not see a guided tour as such.

High variance of plants, arranged in a beautiful and natural pattern and environment.
The Chinese garden is always a highlight, though usually quite crowded.

It's really a good place in Bochum. I liked the peaceful environment and relaxing place with plants and flowers. If you're looking for beautiful pictures then I would recommend this place.

Lovely little oasis of calm. Great for a nice walk with lots to see. The Chinese garden is beautiful. The three themed (rain forest, desert, savanna) hot houses are well laid out and planted. Good access although could be difficult in parts for wheel chair users as some of the ramps are overgrown.
