A very cool bulidung - modern industrial like and the Atmosphere is amazing. Unfortunately, the Food which was Served disapoints. But still it still Worth to visit this Restaurant and enjoy the Drinks.

Great Location. Kinda unique as in the oldest power distribution facility in Berlin that was reused as a restaurant. Food had a very good quality. Berlin style friendly waitresses and a good variety of Digestives. So all in all a nice place to be.

Umspannwerk Ost is the restaurant that is part of the 'Kriminal Theatre'. So a lot of people go there to eat something before the show or have a drink afterwards. But the restaurant is also more than worth a visit if you don't attend a show. The food is more than decent, the prices very fair and the service is fast and friendly. The best part, however, is the whole atmosphere and design of the restaurant. They've done a splendid job integrating the restaurant in the interior of an old factory. A great place I would definitely recommend.

Very cool interior converted from an industrial factory / power transformer station. Staff was friendly and they had a great selection of cocktails and wine. Kitchen visible from tables. The menu had a mix of standard fare like pasta and burgers but also some German dishes plus the seasonal ones too. Food was excellent, came quickly and nicely plated as well. The restaurant is in the same building as a small theater which looked cool.

5/5 for work lunch. Great value for money. Paid around €6.50 for Lasagna. Ask for the menu if you want, they also have a daily special. Food was ready very quickly (ideal if you are on a lunch break.

Waiters were very friendly and soft drinks cost 1 or 2 euros only. Would go there again : )

My husband and I enjoyed going tonthis restaurant so much we went back the next night!. I mourn their delicious bacon and goat cheese balls. The pot roast has ruined me for life on any other. This is the place to go!
