I gave birth there in November 2021. The midwives were not only professional but humane. The place itself is peaceful and you go home quickly. The entire experience was a blessing. Yes you are not sure to get a spot cause they have a lot of people wanting to give birth there and it is absolutely understandable.

I gave birth to my second child there a few days ago. It was a great decision to chose the Geburtshaus Treptow and totally worth it! During pregnancy, the visits and check-ups there gave me always the feeling of confidence and tranquility. The midwives (Anne, Laila, and Theresa) were very attentive, helpful, they gave me plenty of useful advices. Laila Wenger was my midwife in birth, and she was just perfect. Very professional and at the same time delicate and empathetical, she helped me to deliver my baby in the best way possible. She also speaks very good English, which was important for me and my partner. Overall, I had only positive experience and would definitely recommend this birthing center to anyone who wants to have a natural birth.

*********BAD PLACE ********STAY AWAY******* Awful place just by speaking on the phone. First person I spoke with said their were no spaces available and then suggested that I have a home birth. When I asked if that was the only option, she said it was. She spoke to me very rudely, so I asked to speak to someone else in English to clarify. The next person I spoke with said that they just assume you want a home birth. I mentioned that its pretty strange to assume what sort of birth a person wants and that it was not ok for them to speak so rudely to me. SHE THEN HUNG UP THE PHONE ON ME. I was shocked that a place that should be professional would do that! I called back and spoke to the same person, she refused to apologise, instead she blamed me for being unhappy with their service. She refused to listen to why I thought this was unprofessional behavior and spoke over me, saying I would not listen to her. Seriously, I could not believe that at a birth house, where people should be calm and understanding that anyone working there would behave like this. I asked to have her name and the name of someone who is higher up, but she refused to provide either and LAUGHED AT ME. THIS IS STILL AWFUL, I AM STILL IN SHOCK ABOUT IT!

Antonia was the second midwife. If I had any questions, she responded immediately via text message, so that I was able to react promptly to my pregnancy problems. The conversation with her was also very pleasant and trusting.
We met Pauline on the day of the delivery and she accompanied us during the delivery. She was with us the whole time, breathed with me, talked me into good terms. At no time did I feel left alone. We were informed about everything and when my bubble just didn't want to burst, she helped out after she had my consent.
Sophia joined shortly before the birth. She was reserved and quiet. Whenever I made eye contact with her, she looked at me with encouragement and support.
When my son was there, we had the time and peace with him that we wished for. He wasn't taken from us right away for examinations. My husband and I lay in bed with him and were able to enjoy the first few moments.
Theresa came to us for postpartum care. She has always been empathetic and understanding. She was never preachy. On the contrary.. she confirmed a lot to us and simply gave us a good feeling.
Because of the distance to the birth center, we agreed with Lisa at the time that the midwife would come to our house for the first three days after the birth and that we would then drive to the birth center. Theresa came to see us all week, probably because she saw that I wasn't doing so well physically. She didn't even begin to mention this additional burden for herself, even though she had many other women to look after.
I was and am very grateful to her for that!
The Birthplace was the right decision and we can only recommend it.

Ein so schönes Erlebnis im Geburtshaus Treptower Park zu entbinden. Meine ersten beiden Kinder sind im Krankenhaus zur Welt gekommen. Bei meinem dritten Kind sollte es entspannt und ruhig ablaufen. Und so war es auch.
Zu den Hebammen... durch Urlaub und Krankheit haben wir mehrere Hebammen kennengelernt, die uns betreut haben.
Lisa hat uns während der Schwangerschaft begleitet. Sie hat sich für uns sehr viel Zeit genommen . Ist auf alles eingegangen was uns beschäftigt hat und uns stets ernst genommen. Wir haben uns gut vorbereitet gefühlt und wurden über alle Eventualitäten aufgeklärt.
Antonia war die zweite Hebamme. Bei Fragen hat sie per SMS sofort geantwortet, sodass ich zeitnah auf meine Schwangerschaftsbeschwerden reagieren konnte. Auch das Gespräch mit ihr war sehr angenehm und vertrauensvoll.
Pauline haben wir am Tag der Entbindung kennengelernt und sie hat uns während der Geburt begleitet. Sie war die ganze Zeit bei uns, hat mit mir geatmet, mir gut zugeredet. Ich habe mich zu keiner Zeit allein gelassen gefühlt. Wir wurden über alles informiert und als meine Blase einfach nicht platzen wollte hat sie, nachdem sie mein Einverständnisses hatte, nachgeholfen.
Kurz vor der Geburt ist Sophia dazu gekommen. Sie war zurückhaltend und leise. Wenn ich Blickkontakt mit ihr hatte, hat sie mich bestärkend und unterstützend angesehen.
Als mein Sohn da war, hatten wir die Zeit und Ruhe mit ihm, die wir uns gewünscht haben. Er wurde uns nicht gleich für Untersuchungen genommen. Mein Mann und ich haben mit ihm gemeinsam im Bett liegen und die ersten Momente genießen können.
Theresa ist zur Wochenbettbetreuung zu uns gekommen. Sie ist zu jederzeit einfühlsam und Verständnisvoll gewesen. Sie war niemals belehrend. Im Gegenteil.. sie hat uns viel Bestätigt und uns einfach ein gutes Gefühl gegeben.
Aufgrund der Entfernung zum Geburtshaus hatten wir damals mit Lisa abgesprochen, dass die Hebamme die ersten drei Tage nach Entbindung zu uns nach Hause kommt und wir danach ins Geburtshaus fahren. Theresa ist die ganze Woche zu uns gekommen, wahrscheinlich weil sie gesehen hat, dass es mir körperlich nicht so gut ging. Sie hat diese, für sich zusätzliche Belastung nicht einmal auch nur ansatzweise erwähnt, obwohl sie noch viele andere Frauen zu betreuen hatte.
Ich war und bin ihr dafür sehr dankbar!
Das Geburtshaus war die richtige Entscheidung und wir können es nur weiterempfehlen.

Die gesamte Schwangerschaft über wart ihr jederzeit für uns da und gabt uns von Anfang an ein sicheres und wohles Gefühl mit Eurer Herzlichkeit und in den tollen Zimmern. Ein besonderes Dankeschön möchten wir an unsere beiden Hebammen Ramona und Pauline aussprechen, aber auch an Lisa und Leonie, die unterstützend bei der Geburt unseres Sohnes dabei waren, und mit viel Ruhe und Liebe zum Beruf, zu einer schnellen und komplikationsfreien Geburt beitrugen.

Ramona und Pauline sind wunderbare Hebammen und mit Leidenschaft dabei. Jede Frage, jede Sorge und jedes Thema wurde in Ruhe und ausführlich besprochen. Als es unserem Kleinen nachts nicht gut ging, wart ihr direkt zur Stelle, auch mehrmals täglich, und begleitetet uns zu Hause bzw am Telefon, um die Fahrt in die Klinik und allem drum herum, für uns so einfach wie möglich zu gestalten. Tröstende und aufbauende Worte, Ruhe und Kraft, und sofort wissen, was zu tun ist. Genau das haben wir in dem Moment gebraucht.

Sollte unser Sohn irgendwann ein Geschwisterchen bekommen, werden wir auf jeden Fall bei Euch nach einem freien Platz fragen.

Auch bedingungslos weiterzuempfehlen ist der Geburtsvorbereitungskurs bei Silke :)
