The dolmades were a fantastic start to the evening for sharing amongst the group. The main course of a shared mixed grill was some of the best chicken skewers and gyros I have eaten in a very long time.

Amazing service and a fantastic evening all-round.

Got to this city late and found this place. Such an amazing restaurant! Food was awesome, the service was absolutely amazing. The servers were so friendly, loved our night and will be coming back again with all of our friends. 10/10 would recommend this restaurant and the garlic sauce.

Average food with small portions and relatively high prices. This 5 piece of baby calamar is €15.50. Definitely overpriced.

I usually stay away from foreign cuisines in other countries because the prices are higher than they would be back home or ingredients can be less original in some cases. But, after nearly a year of living nearby, I finally tried it and was pleasantly surprised. As a Greek-Cypriot who didn't have much of a chance to visit home lately, I really needed this feeling. The prawns saganaki were indeed expensive for only 3 pieces, but never mind, they tasted great. The fried meatballs did too but they were a little bit tough, but reasonably priced. The fried aubergines were AMAZING and of course plenty, also with a reasonable cost. I was immediately greeted with a complimentary shot of ouzo and saw that the staff was as friendly to me as it was to locals. Will definitely return with a bigger group of friends to share many more things, or pass by when I'm feeling a little homesick :)

My wife and I had just completed viewing the East Side Gallery (the open-air Berlin Wall gallery), and the sun was setting, and it was now time for dinner. We headed over to Restaurant Trattoria Portofino. Unfortunately we had no reservation there and we were told that the wait was over an hour! We looked across the street, and saw Taverna Kreta. This Greek restaurant had only been open a month, and no ratings. Hungry, we went for it, and we are glad that we did.

The service was warm and attentive, we felt like family. We ordered and enjoyed a delicious Greek meal. Of course we were offered complimentary Ouzo, before, and after dinner. The house red wine was enjoyable too. This time our lack of planning paid off, as we had a wonderful meal and experience. Thank you to the Taverna staff.
