This hotel does not have an AC and you cant even open a window since this is located on a high traffic street and the noise and the heat is just unbearable ! the stuff is rude and doesn't really care about anything. no solution was offered and I had to find a new hotel after the first sleepless night in sweat. the interior is cheap and the mattress was broken. the hotel seems to be favored by younger folks that like to party in the rooms. so it was noisy inside and outside. stuff at the location couldn't care less about complaints and management has the same philosophy. So thanks for nothing !

If I can review this with zero stars, I would. But unfortunately, I had to give a somewhat balance review as well. PLEASE READ THIS THOROUGHLY BEFORE YOU MAKE ANY BOOKING.

Upon checking-in, you’ll be greeted with self check-in counter, if you arrive outside their reception hours. Everything seems to be well prepared from the instructions to getting into your room. Almost flawless.

The apartment itself is self-service, so most of the time, if you need something such as ironing board or new towels, you have to go to the storage room on the floor you are staying. So no fancy-schmancy hotel experience, which for some, wouldn’t be a problem.

But then you start noticing things don’t go as planned or as advertised:

Wi-fi does not work for some devices! You somehow have to connect if you’re standing in front of the entrance. Otherwise you can’t enjoy your night on the bed.

But then the’s a reason why I wrote this review, because my belongings was stolen. The place has CCTV cameras but there’s nothing can be done.

After knowing that some of my items are missing, I contacted their emergency line and was given instructions to file a report to the local authority, which is always sensible.

Then came the management and security staff asking me how it happened and whether I properly closed the door or not, which I always do when I leave the room. They said that they’ll check the log of my keyroom, when it is opened.

Unfortunately, the management can only offer an apology and also explanations, that nobody entered my room during the timeframe I was away, assuming I did not lock the door properly. Also, no compensation offer or whatsoever.

Disappointing but not surprised.

So, if you just stay for a night or two without leaving the room? Go ahead. It has all you need in the room. Room also looks nice and tidy.

Longer stays and security is your main concern? Reliable internet connection is of the essence? Look elsewhere.

Update: The smartment reached out to me and offered some help to solve the problem after a week. At least they keep being professional and any attempt to solve the problem would always be appreciated.

I stayed between 20.09.2022 and 22.09.2022.In general all is well.It is not like a normal hotel.It is mainly looks like one bedroom flat which makes you feel more comfortable.There is also a small kitchen in room area which has a kettle,electrical cooker,general equipment,capsule coffe machine,fork,knifes,spoon etc. also a refrigerator and a washing machine for dishes. I guess it is only 15 meters away from Karlshorst S-Bahn station.There is a Netto discount market under hotel(same building)

A small note for owner : Room walls needs to be cleaned /painted, it was a bit dirty.

The room/studio is nicely designed, and the reception staff are polite and helpful.

Unfortunately, there was one big problem. I stayed for 3 months and was working from home the entire time, so it quickly became impractical to be interrupted at random times by the cleaning staff. I made a polite request for some kind of fixed schedule for the weekly cleaning of the room (a set time and day every week), so I could organize my work schedule around it.

It was ignored, so I had to make a written request too. However, the second request was also ignored, and several times I was disturbed and interrupted during my work, including during business video-meetings and important phone calls. Then I simply lost all hope, and cancelled the remaining 30 days of my booking.

Really loved the stay here for more than a month , the staff's were very friendly and helpful. The apartment room are modern, comfortable and comes with a small kitchen. The apartment is very near to the public transportation. The best place to stay in a budget. Good value for money and highly recommended for the stay.

Highly recommend Smartments and their services. They are very welcome to all customers, they will take care of you mail, cleaning, comfort, they will help you during transition, they will advise you and aways will go the extra mile for your experience with them. Warm thanks to Guan and Sebastian for all the nice time they have secured for us there. 5 stars.

Everything was very new, clean and tidy. The receptionist and admin staff were very polite and only too eager to help. However, there was an issue regarding the noise levels outside with ongoing building works. There was scaffolding on the front of the building and workmen drilling outside my window on most weekday mornings - I had quite the surprise when I opened my curtains one morning! My room was also facing the noisy main road, which meant that I could not keep my window open during the night, which was a problem during the hot summer nights. I was, however, given a fan and once the windows were shut the noise was considerably dampened. The washing facilities were good, but not enough for such a large apartment block catering for so many people. Overall though, I think it was pretty good value and I felt safe and secure.
