The hotel was acceptable for the price paid but we were left a little disappointed overall. The public areas definitely feel more modern and well kept than the bedrooms. We booked (and paid extra for) a "Comfort" room, but what we got was nothing like the hotel pictures. Our room was quite small, featured no additional seating and had only a shower. It's very unclear what difference there should be between the room types and I certainly don't think we got any extra benefit for the extra cost. The room was also never warm, despite having three radiators (one of which didn't work). My biggest concern was privacy and safety of my items: on our final full day, we had left most things laid out in the room ready to pack our case later that day. We hung the "Do Not Disturb" sign on our door and went about our day. Unfortunately we returned to find the sign had been completely ignored and our room had been entered anyway. This is not acceptable service and will unfortunately mean we never return to this hotel.

We stayed in a standard double room for 4 nights. The reception was professional, not friendly but not rude as well. We were more than satisfied with the cleaning services. The towels, sheets, bathroom and floor were very very clean. The room was rather big. The pillows and mattress were soft and comfortable.

Nice hotel, central for everything but my main complaint is no air conditioning but I think that maybe something to do with it being an old building. I'd stay again. The staff are very friendly and the place is spotless.

Nice hotel not gar away from U-bahn station. Room was smaller but clean, beds was comfortable, bathroom was clean. There wasnt fridge, you have only electrical cattle if you want to make a tea. Breakfast was expensive for us (€16,5) so we have a breakfast in cafe 100m from a hotel.

Great location, the staff are friendly and helpful, the WiFi is always great, and it is really close to the political centre of Berlin where many key events of the 20th u0026 21st century took place: Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, the Berlin Wall, the Ministry of Finance, etc.

Downside: the shower is really really small. Also, check if breakfast is included in your booking.

Hotel checkpoint Charlie. 14 aug - 17th aug

2 persons
Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. Good breakfast. Variety of stuff. Underground nearby, btw all public transportation is nearby. For 9 eur u can a ticket valid for 1 Month.
All met all it is a lovely city to visit.

people at the reception are cheating about the price! also the room was not disinfected, so the whole night I was bitten by bed bugs! terrible!
