We almost missed this place and we are glad we didn't! Great traditional german food served in big portions.

This hidden gem at the Richard Wagner platz has a long reputation als GutBuergerliche Kueche, in other words good quality food for a reasonable price. I did not reserve a table, but waitress immediately removed one of the reservation cards from the table. She added maybe others will join you at this table. Which indeed happened. The menu is limited but proper German. I left the schnitzel this time instead I ordered a tartar, raw meat with eggs and spices. It is a challenge, but turned out to be just fine. With two large lagers the ticket was about €25

Lots of beers on tap or in bottle. Good food. Friendly people.
You look for a " typical Berlin place"? Go there you will not be disappointed.

somehow authentic retro style ... decelerate while drinking some of the 12 beers.

Visited this afternoon with high hopes...great disappointment...Dirty room, tasteless, low quality food and easily the rudest staff and management in Berlin...a shame to even consider visiting...do you have lager beer???
