Friday night 8.30pm - it’s more a place to have a wine than food. Small card which is ok, however it took them 40 min to bring us the pasta with the excuse they do all dishes fresh. Fresh pasta actually cooks quicker and I doubt they prepared the pasta dough just for us. The restaurant was occupied well but for the whole waiting time they did not serve any food during prime time. Food quality was alright but not worth the high end price. Also I had the feeling the waiter did not know what pasteurized cheese is. His answer was the Büffel Mozzarella is fresh and made from fresh milk.

Cute place to sit outside but don’t recommend for the food.

Based on the very high prices I was expecting some really good Italien food. Instead you get offered the most basic pasta with a sauce that even I could easily make better (and I am not a good cook). The other pasta literally had no sauce at all and had just some basic salmon without any love slapped on top.
If the pasta would have been a third of the price so you would compare it to the many cheap Italian restaurants maybe - but even for half of the price I would have expected sth better.

Also we were a big group and everybody was slightly shocked about what we got for the price.

Besides that the Aperol Spritz was really watery and it’s really not that hard to make a good Aperol Spritz…

Overall I do not recommend at all.
Even in that very area there are way better options to spend your money.

strolling through #Berlin tonight we met Valerie in Auguststraße ... she told us about „Simon“ the restaurant - right in front of it - that it was very nice and recommended their excellent italian food, especially fresh pasta.
So we wanted to try „Simon“ - the place was packed, but the waiters super friendly and they offered some seats at the bar... our italian evening in Berlin was fabolous - from Chianti to antipasti, fresh pasta, dolci, caffe and grappa ... it doesn’t need to get better than that.
We are thankful for having met Valerie - she is about 8 years old and Simon is her dad who owns the place. ☺️

Very nice to sit outside in the summer. Food is nothing special but decent and drinks are okay. Service friendly but sometimes a little overwhelmed. No card payment should be changed

The food has no taste at all. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Fantastic cosy restaurant, off the beaten track in Berlin. Top quality food served here and I will be returning.
I returned to find the quality food as my previous visit. The Penne Arrabiata is one of the best I've had, very fresh and cooked to perfection. For dessert I had the creme brulee and to be honest I could have had 2 or 3, it was that good!

If you want to experience the real flair of an inn where all the locals (and locally rich in this case as far as Zehlendorf) go because of the inn keeper.... A wonderful place with great food, real hospitality and interesting and lovely guests.
