Hier, am sogenannten Spreeknie, ist es sehr chillig. Dieses kurze Stück Uferpromenade führt Richtung Norden vorbei am Kranhaus-Café und endet momentan an der Mensa der HTW (Hochschule für Technik u. Wirtschaft).
Das Café ist absolut empfehlenswert. Besonders dann, wenn Wert auf Qualität, einen freundlichen Service und ein ansprechendes Ambiente gelegt wird.

In Richtung Süden, also Köpenick ist das Ufer leider noch nicht für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich. Es gibt Bestrebungen, wenigstens eine Seite des Spreeufers für die Allgemeinheit nutzbar zu machen. Hier in Oberschöneweide haben diese zum Teil auch schon zum Erfolg geführt.
Das teilweise mit Weiden bewachsene Ufer mit seinen Wiesen, Nischen und Parkbänken eignet sich supergut zum Entspannen. Bei schönem Wetter mit Sonnenuntergang über der "Skyline" von Niederschöneweide..
