One of the best examples of a typical Berliner ‘kneipe’ I’ve come across. I’ve spent hours here, and loved every second of it!

(Translated by Google) The Nogat-Klause is located in a pub-under-represented part of Neukölln between Körnerpark and Ringbahn. The streets are also much quieter in the evening and hardly as crowded as on the nightlife around the Hermannplatz. Nevertheless - and not least because of the associated more relaxed atmosphere around it - you meet illustrious figures, the need for time-out, the desire for well-groomed, unpretentious nightlife and a lived sense of humor.

This is an important impression in which, apparently, something resonates with old Neukölln, which is about to disappear (or even beyond). At the same time announces itself in the kind feisty way in which the restaurant is run, a tactic to survive the gauntlet through the revaluation spiral. Because it's a rarer quality when a stable, reliable level of hospitality with an open-minded atmosphere comes together in a nice, affordable location within easy reach of the city's major attractions.

About the economic conditions, especially the ownership, I have so far learned little. Ask me! I can imagine that no secret is made of naming the adversities and frolic experiences of the practiced pub profession. The Nogat-Klause is operated in the sequence of one-person shifts, which is fed by a relatively small circle of well-rehearsed employees. They all have in common that they are cool, kind and face-to-face, spreading an open-minded spirit and keeping the store attentive to the well-being of their guests.

The pub is open almost continuously, has some quite sympathetic regulars and acts regardless of the time of day inviting. The drinks are cheap. In addition to the draft beer, I can recommend the heavily mixed gin and tonic (3 €!). There are billiards, darts and vending machines. A highlight is the jukebox. The sound system sonicated the small corner shop fantastic and the choice of music is respectable. If you have a special request or want to bring your own playlist, you can count on an open ear among the musically experienced voters. As a result, the sound station is almost freely playable.

In combination with the other advantages, this can make a whole night in the Nogat-Klause unusually pleasant, exciting and cool. It should be used as long as possible!

Die Nogat-Klause liegt in einem kneipenmäßig unterrepräsentierten Teil Neuköllns zwischen Körnerpark und Ringbahn. Die Straßen sind auch abends bedeutend ruhiger und kaum einmal so überfüllt wie auf den Ausgehmeilen um den Hermannplatz. Trotzdem - und nicht zuletzt gerade wegen der damit einhergehenden entspannteren Atmosphäre drumherum - begegnet man illustren Gestalten, Auszeitbedürftigen, dem Wunsch nach gepflegtem, unprätentiösem Nachtleben und einem gelebten Sinn für Humor.

Das ist ein wichtiger Eindruck, in dem allem Anschein nach etwas vom alten Neukölln mitschwingt, das im Verschwinden begriffen (oder schon darüber hinaus) ist. Zugleich kündigt sich in der freundlich resoluten Art, wie das Lokal geführt wird, eine Taktik an, den Spießrutenlauf durch die Aufwertungsspirale zu überstehen. Denn es ist eine seltener werdende Qualität, wenn ein stabiles, verlässliches Niveau an Gastlichkeit mit aufgeschlossener Atmosphäre an einem netten, bezahlbaren Ort in Reichweite der größeren Attraktionen dieser Stadt zusammenkommt.

Über die ökonomischen Rahmenbedingungen, allem voran die Besitzverhältnisse, habe ich bisher wenig erfahren. Fragt gerne mal nach! Ich kann mir vorstellen, dass kein Hehl daraus gemacht wird, auch die Widrigkeiten und Frusterlebnisse der gelebten Kneipierprofession zu benennen. Betrieben wird die Nogat-Klause in der Abfolge von 1-Personen-Schichten, die sich aus einem relativ kleinen Kreis an eingespielten Mitarbeitern speist. Denen ist gemeinsam, dass sie cool, gütig und zugewandt sind, freimütige Stimmung verbreiten und den Laden aufmerksam für das Wohlergehen der Gäste führen.

Die Kneipe ist nahezu durchgehend geöffnet, hat einige recht sympathische Stammgäste und wirkt unabhängig von der Tageszeit einladend. Die Getränke sind günstig. Neben dem Fassbier kann ich den stark gemixten Gin Tonic (3 €!) empfehlen. Es gibt Billard, Dart und Daddelautomaten. Ein Highlight ist die Jukebox. Die Soundanlage beschallt den kleinen Eckladen fantastisch und die Musikauswahl ist respektabel. Wenn ihr einen besonderen Wunsch habt oder eure eigene Playlist mitbringen wollt, könnt ihr auf ein offenes Ohr bei den auch musikalisch erfahrenen Tresenkräften zählen. Dadurch ist die Soundstation nahezu frei bespielbar.

In Kombination mit den anderen Vorzügen kann das eine ganze Nacht in der Nogat-Klause ungewöhnlich angenehm, aufregend und geil machen. Es sollte davon Gebrauch gemacht werden, solange es geht!
