We delivered our first baby boy in MLK first week of June. The overall experience at the hospital was excellent and very satisfactory. The midwives in Kriesaal/Labor room were exceptionally trained, and more importantly very empathetic, optimistic. They all spoke perfect English and we never felt any discrimination.
After birth, the room staff was also very supportive. They spoke less English, but we were able to communicate and discuss our problems.
The rooms, hallway were super clean and nicely maintained. We would recommend this hospital to all international families in Berlin.

This is a worst hospital. My wife had a second delivery in this hospital and the experience were horrific. My wife had a very good progress while reaching the hospital. We preferred water birth and the midwife there prepared a hot water in the tub and wife started sweating from the scalp and the babies heart rate went really high. I called the midwife and she asked to wipe my wifes face with a wet towel. She got cold and her body temperature increased. Even then the midwife does not agree her mistake or correct the water temperature. Then i asked my wife to step out from the water. Than the midwife realised she made some mistake beacuse the baby heart rate went really high and she started forcing my wife to deliver the baby as fast possible. By Gods grace baby was safe. The midwife has no knowledge about water birth and there was no support from the midwife. Even the ladies who serve the food were racisit and a very bad behavior, she was asking my wife to pick her own tea or milk from the pantry by herself and commented that you can do it by yourself as you didn't had a C-section. And the review letter after delivery they wrote that she didn't know german language leads to the complication in the birth. The staff are racisit.
If you want to have a best birthing experience go to drk westend hospital but for that we have to book by 12th week of our pregnancy.

Today I had my first operation as an adult in this clinic! I felt like I was in trully good hands, with polite and professional doctors, nurses etc. I am more than thankful!

Die OP ist gut verlaufen, die Krankenschwestern waren sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommen. Mein herzlichen Dank geht an die Krankenschwester Anna, die mich direkt vor der OP aufgemuntert hat, so dass ich kaum nervös war sondern habe mich gleich sicher gefühlt. Auch die Ärzte während des Aufnahmegesprächs haben sich für jede Patienten Zeit genommen, waren geduldig, antworteten auf alle Fragen und erklärten detailliert den Ablauf.

I was always looked after and no call for a sister I made was too much to ask. Every request was implemented quickly and friendly. The medical team also introduced themselves personally during a round after my operation and asked about me. I would also like to say a big thank you to Dr. univ. Steinwendner and Dr. Arrange quickly, because they made it possible that only female doctors really operated on me and that the operation went without any complications. Even now after the operation I have no pain and the work was done cleanly. I really want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart! I even asked myself briefly during my stay whether I was in the hospital or in the hotel :D

I would also like to note that in general the entire process was already perfectly planned on the day of the preliminary consultation in the hospital. Ich war aufgrund einer OP im Bereich der Gynäkologie/des Endometriosezentrums stationär untergebracht. Es war bisher meine erste OP und mein erster Krankenhausaufenthalt, demzufolge bin ich mit großen Ängsten und Unsicherheiten dort hin gegangen.
Allerdings wurde ich vom ersten Moment an herzlich empfangen, liebevoll wurde mir mein Zimmer gezeigt und alles erklärt, sodass ich mich sofort wohl fühlte. Und so ging es den ganzen Aufenthalt weiter. Wirklich jede Pflegekraft , Krankenschwester auf der Station bis zum OP , inklusive der Anästhesistin, Narkoseärztin bis hin zu Frau Dr. Med univ. Steinwendner und Frau Dr. Rasch die mich operiert hatten, waren alle so unglaublich nett, aufbauend und fürsorglich, sodass mir jede Angst genommen wurde. Es wurde wirklich immer nach mir geschaut und kein Ruf nach einer Schwester den ich tätigte war zu viel verlangt. Jede Bitte wurde schnell und freundlich umgesetzt. Auch das Ärzteteam stellte sich aufgrund einer Visite nach meiner OP persönlich vor und erkundigten sich nach mir. Einen großen Dank möchte ich auch an Frau Dr. univ. Steinwendner und Frau Dr. Rasch ausrichten, da sie es möglich gemacht haben, dass mich wirklich nur weibliche Ärzte operierten und dass die OP ohne Komplikationen verlaufen ist. Auch jetzt nach der OP habe ich keine Schmerzen und es wurde sauber gearbeitet. Ich möchte mich wirklich herzlichst bei euch allen bedanken ! Ich habe mich während meines Aufenthalts sogar kurzzeitig gefragt ob ich im Krankenhaus oder im Hotel liege :D

Anmerken möchte ich auch, dass generell der gesamte Ablauf schon am OP Vorgesprächstag im Krankenhaus perfekt durchgeplant war. Man musste sich um nichts kümmern und es war alles perfekt geordnet und terminiert. Mir ist sogar aufgefallen, dass die Schwestern von sich aus jeden Patienten in jedes Zimmer die Tasche getragen haben und immer freundlich waren. Macht bitte genauso weiter ! :) LG Frau Öztürk

I felt very well looked after and treated competently.
Also: Wherever people work, mistakes happen. Anyone who is upset about trifles, long waiting times or the like should take this to heart. I am sure that all employees did their best.

Only the food left a lot to be desired. After I had to stay sober all day, I only got two slices of bread with cheese and quark in the evening. Lunch wasn't very good either.

Ich war für die Entfernung meiner Eileiter und von Verwachsungen auf der Gynäkologischen Station. Ich wurde von allen Mitarbeiter*innen ausgesprochen freundlich und emphatisch behandelt und versorgt.
Die OP-Vorbesprechung war super organisiert und es wurde sich viel Zeit für mich genommen.
Meine Angst vor der Narkose wurde mir humorvoll genommen und die Krankenpfleger*innen haben sich regelmäßig nach meinem Wohlergehen informiert.
Trotz der allgemeinen Situation habe ich zu keinem Zeitpunkt Stress, Frust oder Ähnliches zu spüren bekommen.
Ich danke allen Beteiligten dafür, dass sie diesen Job mit solch einer Hingabe und Fürsorge ausüben.
Ich habe mich sehr gut aufgehoben und kompetent behandelt gefühlt.
Außerdem: Wo Menschen arbeiten passieren Fehler. Dies sollte sich jeder zu Herzen nehmen, der sich über Kleinigkeiten, lange Wartezeiten oder Ähnliches aufregt. Ich bin mir sicher, dass alle Mitarbeiter*innen ihr Bestes gegeben haben.

Einzig das Essen ließ sehr zu wünschen übrig. Nachdem ich den ganzen Tag nüchtern bleiben musste, habe ich abends lediglich zwei Scheiben Brot mit Käse und Quark bekommen. Das Mittagessen war ebenfalls nicht wirklich gut.
