One of our go-to lunch places when visiting Boxhagener Platz. The food is tasty and made fresh to order. Their falafel are one of the best I've had and the plates come with a wide variety of sides. Another highlight is the peanut sauce, it is just amazing.

I ordered a Sandwich Tofu Magali and it was really good, a lot of ingredients in there, well prepared and cheap (5.50€). ???? This was my second time in a Sudanese restaurant and I gotta say I love their cuisine.

The guy was really nice, there are a few tables to sit inside which is nice and you can pay with a card, which is really rare. ????

Delicious food, probably the best falafel i’ve ever eaten

Falafel is not dry and actually made out of beans (which is not the case in many places). Hummus was fresh too!

Not a big choice if veggies though

Was really excited to try out this place for lunch based on all the rave reviews. Never tried Sudanese food before and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to go with 3 colleagues. The place isn't that big inside - but it's spacious enough. The menu was a bit confusing at first (why so many repetitive headings?) But the options all seemed good. We all had similar variations of the kofta chicken teller which was really nice. The peanut sauce was an interesting twist. The fries could have been a tad crispier (aka they were soggy). The man who served us was friendly, the prices were fair and the service was quick. We all left the place satisfied.

BUT!! All 4 of us had the worst garlic burps and stomach rumblings ever that afternoon and evening. Pure horror. I doubt there was any garlic in the food - but whatever it was, it left quite the upleasant feeling for the rest of the day/night. A real shame as the first impression was so positive.

I used to come here often, but the prices has gone up a lot and the size of the sandwiches has become smaller (too small!). Last night I ordered a teller to go and didn’t get any bread with it. It might have been a mistake…
