Lady at the front desk was nice. (But she thought that we don’t know how euro looks like, we bought toothpaste for 1,50e and she charged us 2,50e) whatever.
We were expecting something in different standards(for $60 per night we usually had something nice), everything was old like from 80’s maybe 90’s.
WiFi doesn’t work at all. Location wasn’t bad.

When we arrived a lady was a bit cold but nothing that cannot be solved, they change the person anyway. Not everyone speaks English. Climbing with suitcases on the stairs feels a strange unpleasant smell, the rooms small but nice.

This hotel location is good but people on the desk, back office speaks some unknown language. Extremely rude as they probably do not understand English or German. Very bad experience.

It took us 1 hour to check in as the person was doing everything manually and asking us to sign in multiple places. It was late night(German time)after long international travel and we almost collapsed on the floor. We missed our dinner as everything went at Snell's pace during check-in.

Rooms facing the road are bright and large, whereas rooms facing the backyard looks gloomy.

Entrance is pretty confusing, specially when hotel people guides you in an unknown language. The elevator needs a key everytime to enter and at the night it's difficult to open the elevator door with key as the backyard is dark. Lift never stops on any floor directly but stops between to floors. So, if you are old or handicapped, you have to carry your heavy international luggage up the starecase half story in the starecase to reach your floor. Bizarre !

Breakfast is very very basic with spread and quantity being served. Lady responsible for supervising breakfast room also had angry attitude almost all the days.

Pretty lady Irma could speak English and was our savior. Thanks Irma for making us feel safe and wanted.

Water in the tap during our stay was dirty and non drinkable one day without any prior notice.

Overall didn't feel that we are in Berlin, with respect to our earlier many stays.

Essence of Berlin was distorted by the experience of staying at Hotel Haubach.

On the last day of our stay, we checked out and came back to hotel after shopping. We wanted to rearrange our luggage with stuffs we bought.

The lady at the reception came charging my wife and said, eating is not allowed in the reception or something like that.

We explained, we are just arranging our stuffs, not eating. Her body language was shockingly unfriendly. we couldn't understand anything other than some one is abusing us for reasons best known to them.

We stayed in Hotel Haubach for 5 nights 6 days.

I personally wouldn't recommend this place to any international Traveller.

Lovely little hotel, quiet and modern. A little far from the centre of Berlin (about 25min to Potzdamer Platz by Metro) but the Metro is only about 5 min walk away and it is quite close to the zoo. The room was quite large and very comfortable and warm. The staff spoke little English but were still incredibly helpful.

The dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed in. I stayed there for one night in October 2016. The white pillow case and the blanket in my room was probably never washed ever since it was bought. The place had voltage fluctuation issues. Because of this, the refrigerator kept making weird and scary sounds through the night, and my phone, which I'd left for charging, started vibrating all of a sudden in the middle of the night and wouldn't stop even after disconnecting it from the charger. Quite a creepy experience for the mere 6 hours I spent in this hotel! Never again!

A spartan antique of the XX century, except flat TVs, this garni hotel is definitely DDR styled. Besides cheap price and friendly staff, it offers a frugal accommodation and not bad breakfast.
You can reach your room passing through the yard: there's a nice panoramic elevator in metal and glass.
Even if you get a WiFi access code, don't be confident in having any signal in your room.

Very good hotel. Suitable for couple.. if i visit berlin again, 100% coming back here. Enjoyed.. location quite good. Many restaurants supermarket and other stuff around the hotel. It's quite at night time. Good train connection as well to move around the city.
