Would highly recommend if you wanna get a good flight of beers with a view of the gate. Good variety on tap and you can get a meter flight (good enough to share for two) and try a variety of different german style beers. Fries make a great beer snack too. Friendly staff and they always appreciate if you try to speak German!

The meal and beer was quite nice. Served fast. The waitres who was serving was nice and friendly. But the manager is very rude with customers. First she shouted that no service outside, she could be nicer! Then she arrangantly put reserved at half hour sign on the table and kinda push me to complete my meal faster. So rude and cheap move!!!

A bit on the expensive side for the value provided, but the food overall is decent and typical German. Indoor toilet requires payment to a human even if you consume at the restaurant.

If you try to find anything German and tasty around the Branderburg Gate it will be quite hard i think, as manely everywhere are fast foods and cofee shops only and the Hopfingerbrau for sure is the ony such place here. Really recommend to visit it if you are hungry at visiting Branderburg Gate or Reichstag. You will taste the real local food here and very friendly staff will guide you. And beer. It is wonderfull!

Service was really slow. We waited 2.5 hours for our order. Schnitzel was ok, Caesar salad was with boiled chicken. Spätzle looked like it was a frozen pre made food.
