This is everything a local history museum should be. The exhibits are wonderful. Concise, but not too concise that you lose context. A great mixture of interactive exhibits and text which cover the unique and turbulent history of Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain. The entrance is free and there are many interesting resources and pamphlets inside to learn more. This is a fantastic public history display!!

I found this place by accident and a delightful accident it was! Free (mini) museum with stair and elevator access. Please note it was very warm as there are no fans or air conditioning. Exhibits on Berlin were fascinating ans accessible in both English and German. Fun visit and there are great restaurants in the area.

Super interesting to learn about Kreuzberg and how communities were always the heart of the area. Only went through 2/3 exhibitions but will come back for the last part in the top story as well. I recommend 45-90min

An interesting museum showing urban development of Friedrichshain. Free entry.

A free museum made by the community that tells the history of the neighborhood. A must for anyone who wants to know the city and it's history better. The museum itself feels special and homey. The story is told on the first floor, chrolonogically. I learned a lot and it was very interesting. The second and third floor have changing exhibitions. The third floor has an interactive exhibition involving tablets or your own phone - I recommend bringing your own headphones.

Interesting museum about the neighborhood history. Also free! Takes from 30min to 1h to get through it all.
