This is my new favorite neighborhood cafe. The vibe of the place is my favorite part. Everything else is great as well including the service. u003c3

-Pre Covid review-
As I was new to Berlin I was still looking for the cute coffee place around the area other than Zeit für Brot and came across this one in a residential area.
The clientele is definitely a bit filtered. I felt for the first time(second if I count with the time I went to the Philarmonica ten years ago) very under dressed in Berlin. Kind of posh people that wear brown and navy.
Everything seemed overly sweet for me so opted for the overnight oats. It was still too sweet but the environment and service were nice.

Surprisingly well-made coffee at acceptable prices.
I can only speak of the coffee but I really enjoy going here. While the roast is good yet not exceptional, the staff uses the excellent equipment (la marzocco u0026 Mahlkönig) to consistently brew good coffee. The service could be better considering that I didn’t receive any despite tipping.

Expensive and unpolite are 2 words I could describe my experience in this place.
You can easily see that the man preparing the coffee's behind the bar doesn't really enjoy his profession and he is totally unaware of the term "customer service". He looks frustrated and reluctant to having contact with the customers and answering friendly questions. The women serving the coffees had the same behaviour. No hello/ goodbye neither, so I was really hoping that the expensive coffee and croissant that I bought would balance the unpoliteness of the employees. It actually didn't, as a coffee drinker I could totally tell there is nothing really special about the coffee nor the food served.

Not that it isn’t a nice place, and I can even close an eye to the rudeness. It’s just that the price is really not ok for some products and there’s not even the chance to pay with card what is a kind of high bill for a bar. Coffee is also not on point.

Very arrogant and unfriendly shop. As they don’t accept cards for payment, which is a no-go during pandemic times, we had to pay with cash. As i went out to get cash from the car, my girlfriend stayed in and waited for me. Although the coffees and cookies we wanted to buy were still in the shop and one of us stayed inside, they insisted her to hand them over her ID Card till I come back with money!! All this was happening for 14€. Hey guys, come on!
