Very bad teaching methodology for the prices i paid. Except for a VERY few teachers, a lot of them are disrespectful. The principal is the type of person that is strict in a rude way. Anyway i had high hopes coming to this school and the disappointment was huge. Very traditional teaching methods that weren’t worth the prices we paid (which was the main problem). Overall a very poor experience and bad first impression of Germany in the big scale of things.

I was learning German in DID (Berlin) and it was awesome!! All the teachers were friendly and well prepared for all the classes. The organization was fine too and the activities were interesant :)
I spend almost a year learning the language from levels A1.1 to C1.2 ( with I guess all the teachers), did the testdaf course and presented the test too. I can't complain, it was great!!! I made lots of new friends and in our pauses we practiced German a lot.
Now I'm coursing the first semester of the "studienkolleg" in Potsdam.
I am thankful to all the teachers and staff. Thank you for the extrahomework and for always being there when needed.

I had an amazing experience at Did-Deutsch-Institut Berlin. The teachers, the staff and the director were warm, welcoming and so helpful! I participated in a 3-week intensive program last summer (2019). I went home with a better understanding of the german language, culture and history. The classes were well curated and were similar to the lessons taught at my school. My class size was perfect, it was of about 10-15 students and we were grouped according to our level of proficiency. The lessons spanned everything from improving german writing and oral knowledge to learning about Berlin's rich culture. The activities after class were incredible: we visited a variety of museums and got to travel to two nearby cities on the weekends. We were also given free time allowing us to independently visit the city with friends. I made amazing friends from around the world and wouldn't change anything from this experience!

I attended DID Berlin for 4 months and overall had a great experience. The various teachers I had at this school were extremely helpful, good teachers, and truly cared about the progression of their students. When I first got there in January, I tested into A2 and finished with a certificate in B2.1. The classes are very interactive, which I appreciated, because it forces the students to pay attention and learn. The school is also located in Mitte, which is a great location in Berlin.

I was in Did Deutsch Institut for 4 months and I would it recommend to everyone who wants to live in Berlin and learn German. The school is located in the centre of Berlin, really close to train station Nordbahnhof.
I have been impressed with the teachers and the support staff in the office, they have always taken the time to help me, when I needed.
The teachers always speak with you in German, they're patients and helpful.
The classes are great, you can meet a lot of people from all over the world and you can start right from the beginning speaking with them in German, there are always teamwork and lessons are really good scheduled.
It's great because it actually prepares you, whether you need German for working or studying.
They organize as well several excursions during the week, I had the opportunity to visit Berlin after school and to travel around Germany during the weekend! The trips are really cheap and the guides are always nice, open and friendly.
I had the chance to live in a host family and honestly I think it's the best options: you can improve your German, observe a different culture and meet people you will never forget!
