This sculpture stands about 200 metres in front of Brandenburg Gate and is a bronze statue of a woman. The woman is depicted shouting, with her hands next to her mouth. to emphasise that she is calling loudly out to others. On the sides of the base plate is a quote from Petrarca, "I wander through the world and cry peace, peace, peace"

Not a great statue, but plus one for the sentiments.

Calling out to the world to support peace..."The Caller" is another one of the understated but moving monuments in the city. It's on the way if you are going to the Memorial to the Soviet Soldiers; just be careful crossing the road if you want to get close to the statue.

An understated but incredibly powerful statue. Be careful crossing the Str. of the 17th of June if going to the island to get underneath the statue.
