PRICEY BUT DELICIOUS • FRIENDLY BUT SLOW SERVICE

A small, homely, warm and pleasant restaurant, with a small menu that changes every day.

PRICES:
7 € -13 € for most of the starters.
17 € -19 € for most of the main pasta dishes.

FOOD:
Delicious, good quality, very tasty and unique. But the dishes are quite small. Not really small, but if you are hungry, you probably need more.

SERVICE:
Very friendly, not formal, in a good way.
BUT we waited for the main dishes 32 MINUTES (!) after we finished the starters. Far beyond what you would expect from a restaurant at such a price level.
For example, the service in A MANO, in Strausberger Platz, is much much better, and the price level is the same as here.

LOCATION:
In the heart of the beautiful and lovely Prenzlauer Berg.
2 Minutes from M2 / M10 stations.

+ Food was very good
+ Service was nice and the atmosphere authentic Italian
+ Inside and outside the restaurant looks very nice and cozy

- we all saw how tap water was filled in the San Benedetto bottle, so the price of 6.50 Euro is not acceptable
- to pay by card the minimum value is 30 Euro, also not acceptable
- on the table just a short version of the menu was presented with prices starting at 16 Euro; for sure there are more basic Pasta but this menu wasn’t shown to us

Overall our group had mixed feelings about our visit.

My fav Italian restaurant in prenzlauerberg!
The food is fresh and small changing menu.

Recommend anything with truffle and the fish (we had Tuna) was out of this world.

Very cozy and very charming Italian place. The handwritten menu was adorable and the overall ambience was nice. I had the linguine with calamari which was cooked well and was perfectly spicy. The wine selections—while nice—were a bit on the pricey side, though they do also offer a house red/white for a cheaper price. Remember to bring cash as they don’t accept credit cards for anything less than 100€, which seems a bit extreme to me—luckily between the two of us we were able to scrounge up enough loose change to foot the bill. Would highly recommend checking out if you’re in the area and in the mood for Italian—just remember to bring cash!

Excellent and typical pasta in a nice Italian setting with red-white table clothes. Not cheap though, but worth the extra pay. Service very warm and familial.

We ate here last week and I'm sorry to say it was a forgettable meal. The home made pasta was not al dente, the fish was over cooked and the truffle dish had way too little truffle, barely discernable. We waited 45 minutes between appetizers and main course even though the place was empty when we arrived. Plus, it is quite expensive so all in all, not worthy of a recommendation.
