Cute little place, no tables inside, only stools at the bar. Outside, however, the terrace is full of tables. The location is wonderful, trees and green everywhere.

I had a chat with Vincent Bevins, a Californian journalist, at this coffee shop on the campus of Freie University, Berlin. He is gathering material on various protest movements in 10 countries in the last two decades including Brazil, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Egypt. He wanted to see the role of the media.

In 2020, Bevins published the book "The Jakarta Method: Washington's Anticommunist Crusade and the Mass Murder Program that Shaped Our World." The book was written with a packed analysis, moving from one country to another, very quickly. It is always nice to meet journalists who write books with long and deep research. Coffee Cross is a nice place for such a chat.

Nice Café with good afternoon sun in a good green area of Berlin. Thier patisserie is great with unusual bakes. Even good I'm winter, when one's in need of Photons.
