Nice location with good interior design but lack of quality cocktails. They need some kind of revolution in the menu, at least they can use better ingredients or they may invest to the bar staff to improve the taste of the products.

My friends and I decided to go to this bar to celebrate my friends birthday. As native English speakers and new to Berlin, the bar’s English and queer friendly website made Himmelreich and obviously choice but god were we wrong. The staff pleaded with us to get a photograph for their social media, when we politely declined, they insisted. This made our group very uncomfortable but was nothing compared to the sheer aggression from one of the staff members. This staff member in question, was rude to our group for the entire night. He even went as far to physically push one of our female friends. When we reported this incident to the staff behind the bar they apologised, however he followed us onto the street screaming abuse. This was truly a horrific experience. As someone who currently works in a bar, and has working in hospitality for 5+ years, I am always respectful to staff in bars. I know when this kind of behaviour is warranted, and this was not the case. Will never be returning and would advise others not to go to Himmelreich.

Waiter decided to tip himself with our credit card by overcharging us and hiding the card reader behind his tray.

We have noticed it once we received the message from payment app. but did not made a fuss about it since it was just a couple of euros, but jesus, the audacity of the boy.

The cocktails were quite alright for the price.

The drink was good, but we waiting for the waitress to take the order for so long :(( and after that it took even longer to make the drink worth 6,2€ (aperol). You can find better places to have an aperitif.

The Italian girl amazing. The vibe of the bar, great. My bill was 21.40€ and I gave 1.60€ tip. My friends they were paying together in a 71.2€ bill and they said, ok tip to 73€. The guy, started to ashame my friends because (he said) in Germany if you tip at least 10%, and he was quite disrespectful to them. Last time in this bar.

Good prices, friendly staff dealing well under pressure from a lot of customers (eurovision)

beer was good, location was good, frozen strawberry daiquiri was good
