If you're ever around on the second Saturday of any month, stop by at the U-Bahn Museum! Very cheap to get in, fantastic amounts on show regarding the history of the Berlin Metro. The main controlroom with the photos and records that surround it as well as the three side-room exhibits led to a good hour and a half of slow looking and reading. Well worth a stop by if you're interested in history.

My only gripe is that they only accept cash, no card. Led to a few return trips to Theodor-Heuss-Platz while I sourced an ATM.

Although, it's not my kind of museum, the kiddies loved it.
It's a small museum compared to other museums. I was quite disappointed that there was no Ubahn coach in the museum for the kids to get in and do their roleplay.

Well. It was not as I expected.

Pros:
I love the fact that you can see what they used back in the 1900's and try/test them by yourself.
A lot of history and interesting stories.

Cons:
Not everything is translated to english. I'm not sure if there's anything to be honest.
I expected to see an old ubahn and enter it, but no, it was only items from the ubahns are their stations.

Note:
This museum is pretty small and takes ~20mins to say all it contains.

Should you go?
Only if you have some extra time.

This is a little museum that is only open once a month, generally on the second Saturday, but dates can be different for December and there seems to be no opening in January (so, check the website). There are lots of cute little details, with the museum tickets looking like old tickets, little displays and stories about the U bahn in Berlin. It is not a big museum, and the entrance is up two flights of stairs (I think it used to be an old control room), so expect it to be a bit crowded and busy. It is also nearly completely in German.

While there are no historical U bahns at this museum, look out for some historical carriages running on the actual U bahn lines from time to time. It is usually announced on the BVG website!

It will be interesting for school children 7-12 years old.

Small but cost and really interesting museum. Old pictures, maps, tickets etc. There also was kind of a special exhibition about u10. I loved it

Small but amazing museum, only open for certain specific times. I recommend you to check the website first before visiting.
