Rooms are simple but classy. Most importantly, they are clean.

Staff have been friendly, especially the gentleman behind the bar in the evening.

Location is slightly out of the way but only about a 5 minute walk from public transport.

View from the 1st floor isn't great but this is to be expected from the cheap price.

Good value for money, if I come back to Berlin I would definitely consider coming here again!

The rooms are great and feels like 2018 and the minute you step out into other areas you are thrown back to 1983, but somehow the atmosphere is pretty good all over. Not judging the book by the cover is a good expression here. Breakfast is decent, the reception staff is nice, the bed is great. Overall positive experience.

This place needs some proper clean up and maintenance to be up to standard. My room had a dirty toilet, flashing bathroom light, the elevator had a non-functioning ground floor button light. Overall ambience corresponds to the price level, but neglected maintenance or low quality standards should not be a price point issue.

We had a very big room! Very comfy! But no AC... we left the window opened to air out the smell of paint (or recent renos) but at night it was too noisy (railway and highway nearby). A very delicious breakfast was included in our hotel fee. Grocery store 5 min. walk for evening snacks and buses nearby to go to the main street with stores and restaurants.

Cheap, quirky, curious little hotel. Nice staff, great draft beer and ok breakfast. Not for the family or tourist, not in such a nice neighborhood either. But for work stop over its fine and would stay again.

On if you need to take a flight, only 20ish minutes from Ber airport. Very friendly receptionist.

People at Hotel Berliner Bär are so nice and approachable. For me, you will definitely experience the German hospitality as you stay here.

For the breakfast, the room is just good and across to the hotel itself is the old Berlin Tempelhof airport.
