Even though it is still half winter the outdoors gardens were beautiful, and surprisingly many plants blooming. But the greenhouses really steal the show. They must be the most extensive ones I have ever seen, with amazing variety and climate zones. Beautiful landscaping and well kept. When you enter it's advisable to put your coat away because it's hot inside, especially the Victoria room is almost unbearable. I would love to see the outdoor parts in summer, it must be amazing. But now with a little cold it was also amazingly quiet and peaceful.
The cafe at the greenhouse serves nice soup and has very friendly staff. The same can't be said for the staff at the entry ticket booth sadly. I pre booked my ticket and the signage wasn't entirely clear to me so I thought I was fine to enter the park. Especially since the website said the entry fee is only for the greenhouse not for anything else. So I assumed my ticket would be checked there. The lady in the booth called at me as if I was blind "Hellooo, did you not see this booth?!" I am autistic and I get easily confused or stressed if there is conflicting information, so this was not at all helpful or friendly.
Also note that for the greenhouses a ffp2 mask is still required (4th April) even though the rules were lifted. This was also not told to me in the most friendly manner.
