The most toxic class I’ve ever encounter for ten year of yoga practice. Local teacher is
kind of pretentiously and impolitely person. If you know ashtanga -- this is a long fixed set of asanas. In one asana I was holding foot by two hands instead of one, which was commented as “Seems that you don’t know the sequence”. Well, I could suggest its something personal. But such attitude is not affordable for any yoga class.

Apart from all that — location is nice, rooms are spacious and cozy. It has everything to have a good practice. So, hopefully it could be this way.

I had the pleasure of joining today´s Mysore class with Carola. Communication upfront if I can join as a drop-in was fast, efficient and welcoming. Public parking at 6.15 am close-by was easy to find, the location in the 2nd backyard 2nd floor is as welcoming as you can see in the pictures. The shala is spacious, set to the right temperature and is supporting in its reduced design the focus on the practice.
Carola seems to be a great teacher as she picked up my flow u0026 level right away and gave next to adjustments on the spot also brief but precise and meaningful verbal advise on improvements that I will intro into my practice. The location is also having a shower so you can start your day in Berlin at 8.xx am fresh and full of energy.
All in All I can highly recommend Carola and the Ashtanga House for visiting Ashtangis in Berlin

The place where you always have a warm welcome and really feel like at home. The classes are held in tradition of Ashtanga yoga. In the shala you will find Mysore classes which are held daily and guided led classes on Fridays. Matias and Carola are great teachers: careful, attentive, with huge experience. If you considered trying Ashtanga yoga (and it worth trying) or you are already familiar with the tradition, it would be a great place for practice.

Very knowledgeable and experienced teachers, the atmosphere in the Shala is authentically inspiring and you can feel the high level of concentration and commitment in the air. Both Carola and Matias are very supportive and a perfect match to further develop and deepen your asana practice. Thanks very much for offering and holding this magical space. Namaste ????

Matias and Carola teach here Ashtanga Yoga in the traditional way of Mysore style. You will have the personalized approach together with the energized environment of a collective. They will guide you towards a path of self-consciousness, awareness, detachment and joy ❤️

I am practicing here for years in very different physical and emotional moments of my life and I have always found the Support and space I needed. With Matias and Carola you will get different teachings both of which I could profit a lot! On top of it, The shala is very lovely and the yoga community is very sweet. Perfect place to experience the meaning of yoga being more than just Asana

Been going here for a few months now and Im really enjoying practicing here. Matias and Carola the two teachers have a very gentle yet tough approach to teaching (my opinion) and have propelled my practice into new relms in a very short time. They have excellent explanations and insightful assists and they are very humble and sincere and it seems like they have created a very loving community over the time they have been teaching here.
I'm extremely happy practicing here and grateful for all their help so far. They both take their time with all there students and are very caring and explain new postures in lots of detail making learning fun fun fun!
Important information is Mysore offered from 6 in the morning till 11 monday to Thursday. Friday is led class. Saturday rest day and Mysore on Sunday in the morning. Evening classes on Tuesday and Thursday at the moment.
There is shower and a changing room and most mornings there is tea to have in the common area where you can chat with the other practitioners. Very nice people so far, kind and not snobby.
I'm looking forward to many more months and hopefully years of practicing here.
