A beautiful oasis of calm in the middle of Berlin Mitte. This is an old military graveyard converted into a small public park with benches and walking paths. Amazing for reading a book or spending some quiet time away from the crowds. If you're here, check out the great soy concept store around the corner.

(Translated by Google) The old Berlin cemetery where the military are buried, mostly those who died in the war, not in the Second World War, earlier, in previous wars, a very important historical place in Berlin. There was also a mass grave of those killed in battles on the streets of Berlin. Partially, most of the cemetery was demolished, where there were ordinary soldiers, but in general, the part where the officers and senior officers lie. Crosses cast from metal are interesting - these are the products of the city-forming steel enterprises of that time. The production of such products, also gratings, etc. was an important source of income. There was a real fashion at one time. On many tombstones there is a characteristic inscription "Auf Wiedersehen" - "Goodbye", or "See you". Perhaps the military was so accepted, you yourself understand why. But I'm not exactly sure.

(Translated by Google) Actually a very nice quiet place, which unfortunately is now increasingly being abused by dog u200bu200bowners as a playground and for walking. Including shouting.
PS: I have nothing against dogs, but a cemetery is not a dog toilet.
