Value for the money GREAT.
So nice people on the reception.
So comfy bed.
So nice bathroom with everything and even more than you need.
Really I was sad that we stay only one night.

They are thieves. I notified the hotel in writing that I had a flight cancellation, they replied that everything was fine and that they were waiting for me and when I arrived I had no room. I have not been refunded the money for that night. In addition you pay for dwarf rooms, better to choose another place more serious and with better rooms at that price.

Lovely, clean and bright rooms and situated in a nice, connected neighborhood in Kreuzberg. The staff were helpful and friendly and the general hostel atmosphere was friendly but not too busy. Lovely location along the canal too so I would definitely recommend this hostel.

The hostel is pretty cheap and the room was clean.
The position, too, is convenient enough.

However, the room was really too hot, it was a complete pain sleeping at night - we couldn't open the windows and there were no A/C. The pillows are horrible. Also, the hallways and the carpet in the hallways are pretty smelly.

Not too bad for a hostel; pretty clean and has cool amenities. But the beds were not the best and be aware that if you want to open your window at night it will be hard to sleep with the train tracks so close by.

I am not surprised why this Hostel has such a low rating.

General: The location is quite good and most of the staff are friendly, but thats it. The rooms are very small and full of dust. I have slept in 2 different rooms, and both were like that.

Staff: The staff is in general young friendly people who speak good english and german. The only rude and helpless person there was the old white-hair man, on the front-desk. I asked him if parking the car on the streets was for free or not in that region. His answer: "How should I know? I am a cyclist, I dont have to know that" in a very rude manner. My first reaction was to laugh, then I politely explained that this is a very basic question that he as owner/front-desk representative must know it (you as a cyclist dont need to know about parking rules, but you as a hotel manager MUST know these stuff in your surroundings...). Maybe it is already time for the old man to get retired.

Breakfast: quite OK, but on the last day I found out a way cheaper buffet-breakfast 20 steps aways from the hotel, and it was way better! It's the restaurant of Grand-Hostel. just go!

after waiting for more than one hour for our bedroom (check-in was scheduled for 3PM and we were given our roomcards at 4:10PM), we were given an average 6-bed hostel room although we reserved and paid for a doubleroom. yeah there was plenty of space for two in the bunkbeds and singlebeds but the point of getting a double room as a couple is obvious… after asking the staff for a room that i’ve actually paid for I was told that “i won’t get other room and what’s the problem - there will be noone else comming into the 6-bed room”. the only positive thing about our stay were relatively soundproof walls and a really kind and helpful long-haired guy at the reception (not the arrogant one with whom I had spoken about the room).
